"The property itself was amazing the food also was amazing. The Spa was superb. Rooms were clean daily if requested. Staff was gracious and friendly. I will definitely recommend this resort. The views and the thermal springs were a sight to see. My only concern were the roads getting there from the airport. Make sure you make reservations to be picked up by the resort staff. Roads not easy to navigate for the average driver. It was an amazing Vacation."

"Poor breakfast "

"Free breakfast everyday, both including typical Costa Rican breakfasts, as well as pancakes for those who prefer a breakfast from home. The thermal springs were the best!! Especially the swim up bar (helps save money on commuting to other thermal springs as well as the entrance fee) Staff were wonderful! Sweet and helpful at recommending restaurants and activities:) Transportation from the airport to hotel was $225, so great to split between 5 people."

"PLUSES: Surroundings are gorgeous and lots of trails and things to do; full of birds for Birders, and various other animals. The staff was (mostly) professional, knowledgable and friendly. The grounds and rooms are very clean. The included breakfast is quite tasty with a variety of options. CONCERNS: The property is isolated, as it is 40 mins w/ no traffic or road issues to La Fortuna and other activities outside the property. Some may love this. Dinners were more of a 3/5. Something I overlooked is that there is no air-conditioning, though this is on me for not realizing. During the warmer "dry" season we would have preferred air-conditioning. PS: For all of the Arenal area (not just the Observatory) if driving from the West (say from Tamarindo beach area), once you hit Lake Arenal, it's about a 1 and 1/2 hour drive to the Observatory, and 2 hours+ to La Fortuna, and this is with no road issues and little traffic."

"Beautiful views of Arenal Volcano throughout the hotel and pools, and a convenient location near La Fortuna center. Rooms were well maintained overall, though there were occasional drain odors and signs of mold around the sink. The pools were excellent, and staff consistently delivered attentive service poolside. Overall, the staff were welcoming, friendly, and courteous, making for a very enjoyable stay."
