All in all, excellent! Choice of Western style breakfast on 1st floor or Japanese on the 2nd. Good walking access to the palace park and the old market street and new shops.

The Royal Park Hotel Kyoto Sanjo
Clean rooms and spacious for 2 people but we had 4 adults single beds and the room was a bit cramped which is expected in Japan. Very close to all shops and attractions.
