Nice hotel. We were pleasantly surprised with decent room size after staying in other Japanese hotels. Bakery on the first floor of hotel has delicious breakfast and lunch options.

Right next to a metro station and very many dining options in the area. Spacious rooms that also provided pajamas and slippers. Very clean and spacious. Friendly and helpful staff !

The rooms are tiny for 1 person let alone for 3 people as was advertised. There is barely any place to put 1 small suitcase and the furniture arrangement in the room was pathetic.

Loved this hotel. Awesome location, quiet but just mins from shopping and restaurants. Train station right outside the hotel and 2 stops from Kyoto station. 3 combinis, coffee shops mins away. Walk to Nishiki and Gion. Hotel was impeccably clean and good sized by Japan standards.

Amazing hotel, staff, and location! Similar to other Royal Park Hotels, everyone was helpful and kind. The location was in the center of kyoto and very close to the subway station. Lots of places to visit, eat, and shop were nearby and easy walking

Clean, well-located hotel within 50 feet of the subway station and 1 block from the main shopping street. Rooms are small, but that is normal in Japan. The staff was friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend it.

Friendly staff, nice rooms. Laundry on site is convenient. We loved the breakfast, especially the croissant. Initially we thought the French restaurant on the first floor was a bummer (we didn't go to Kyoto to eat French) but it turned out to be a blessing when we couldn't find a table at any restaurant around on a busy Saturday night. The food was absolutely fantastic, a meal worth $100 or more in the US for less than 30 bucks. Try the alcohol-free cocktails, they are delicious!

Such a great hotel! So close to everything! Subway entrance not even 200m away which is so convenient. Perfect location and amazing room, really clean and spacious. service by the staff was awesome as well. Would definitely recommend and stay again.

Our bathroom had a strong smell, we poured water down tub and seemed to help a bit. Tired and wanted to sleep so let it go as checking out in am. Pleasant checkin staff. Breakfast seemed rushed and no checking back for coffee, water etc.

We came to Kyoto for the Gion festival and this hotel cannot be more convenient as it's right on Shijo where the festival is. Despite the hustle and bustle outside, (imagine the whole streets were packed with people with food stalls running on both sides of the street) we couldn't hear a noise from our room. The staff was very helpful and polite as well. Room is clean and good size. I would stay here when I return.
