This hotel was so quaint and exactly what you need in Kyoto. The staff is very personable and accommodating. The area is perfect and we would not have picked somewhere else to stay while here in this area.

This property is really close to Nishiki Market and the surrounding shops. It's also about a 10 minute walk from the river. Extremely comfortable hotel and convenient to a lot of things you would want to see in Kyoto.

We loved this hotel during our time in Kyoto. It’s next to the Nishiki Market and very close to restaurants and bars. They offered complimentary fresh croissants every morning for all the guests, and we got a cute little gift for our honeymoon. The staff were always super nice and helpful. We would definitely stay here again!

A wonderful hotel just two blocks from Nishiki market. I booked a single bedroom that was a more Japanese traditional style arrangement, with a tatami mat and bed on the floor. I found it very cozy and calming. It is definitely one of the nicer hotels I have stayed at. The hotel staff is extremely helpful and kind, and also speak English fairly well. I would highly recommend this hotel if you are visiting the area. I would absolutely return if I am in the area again.

Clean, decent sized rooms with king size bed. Really convenient location close to Nishiki Market but in a quiet area so you can get a good night’s sleep. We also enjoyed the free croissants in the morning (although we needed to eat more food afterwards as it is small). Highly recommend!

Lovely and comfortable!
I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. It's in a convenient location, the staff were very friendly and the cost was affordable. They provide croissants in the morning and have free laundry area, which was very convenient. I wish I had spent more time at this hotel during my visit.

Maybe it’s because I usually go for budget accommodations, but this place felt seriously luxurious. The staff was so warm, the room was spacious and thoughtfully stocked (nespresso toiletries slippers pj’s), and the location was super convenient. My only gripe would be the room getting stuffy/humid after showering but once I figured out how to open the windows it aired out fast.

We absolutely loved our stay here. Beautiful room, very clean and comfortable. The staff were extremely helpful and kind. The area is nice and quiet, but with lots of shops and eateries, within walking distance of transport and Nishiki markets. Bonus is the free laundry facilities and we loved the complimentary croissant every morning. We would definitely stay here again.

I liked that this hotel was on a quiet street but close to many shops and dining options. The staff were extremely attentive and helpful. And the access to laundry facilities was a huge bonus for me. Overall, I couldn't have asked for a better hotel experience in Kyoto.

Everything was great about our stay here. The room and building were very clean, the staff were super friendly and helpful through out our entire stay. The location in Kyoto was superb whether it was doing stuff around the hotel or close enough to transit to get other places. The nicest people in Kyoto work here
Loved this hotel. It’s very quiet, has good coffee, is located very close to Nishiki Market, and the staff (front desk and housekeeping) are the nicest hotel staff in the world. All of the staff spoke English too, in case you need that. They also have a washer/dryer available, which saved us during our journey, and umbrellas, since it rains a lot. If I come back to Kyoto, I’ll stay here.

This hotel has a lot going for it. It is very close to the main shopping streets and a short walk from an extensive vibrant covered market with lots of dining and shops. Having walked all over Kyoto for 4 days I'd say it is probably in the best location - near the river, nightlife, restaurants, shopping and transport. It is, however difficult to find on your first day, and not at all impressive from the outside. Our room was not large, however, it grew on us because everything was of very high quality.

Extremely well run, clean, and friendly boutique hotel experience. Excellent location (close to Nishiki-dori) and walkable to Higashiyama. Highly recommend!
We had a great stay! The staff was so friendly. Room was clean with plenty of amenities. Size is standard for Japan but bathroom was very nixe. The location is perfect for exploring Kyoto and the surrounding areas. Free laundry and croissants in the AM we're a plus. We will definitely stay here again!

I had a great 4 night stay at the Miru Kyoto. Traditional style tatami room that was very clean and had everything I needed for a pleasant stay. English speaking staff was very nice and accommodating, and helped to provide restaurant recommendation/make reservations. Located in a centralized area near Nishiki market/shopping areas and is very walkable to the train stations/bus stops.

Amazing Location and Incredible Service.
This is a perfectly located hotel - not in the craziness of the tourist area, but on a peaceful street, next to amazing restaurants and shopping. I loved walking around in the morning and night and the staff was kind, courteous and so friendly. I will return when back in Kyoto.

This hotel is tucked away just minutes from popular attractions in Kyoto. The staff is extremely helpful and the front desk is always staffed with an English speaker which makes it very easy for foreigners to stay here. The rooms are clean and very comfortable. Staff went the extra mile to return something that I had left behind in my room. 10/10

Lovely little place! The staff were friendly and helpful, and the location was pretty perfectly situated near public transit, so getting around was super easy.

Wonderful hotel
Wonderful staff and great boutique hotel in a cool neighborhood. Easy walk to restaurants, shopping and train stations. Staff are exceptional.

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. They went out of their way to accomodate our requests and were a wealth of information to us. The property has a small laundry facility which was very nice to use when we needed to refresh a few clothes. The hotel is very comfortable, clean and the rooms are surprisingly spacious especially when compared to Tokyo.
