A very nice and cute hotel that perfectly combines modern comfort with traditional Japanese design. The tatami room adds a unique and calming touch. Everything was spotless, making the stay extremely pleasant.

Room was spacious and small washer/and dryer were there which took 8 hours to finish. Since there were washer, we need to wash the towels to reuse, they do not exchange any towels. Worst yet, the guy at the door was so unfriendly when he helped us, and we regret to stay there. The baggage’s can leave at the hotel before the check in. But no attendance but we need to use the insecure lock which can easily taken off.

Room was very spacious and clean. Washer and dryer in room was great, but a bit confusing to translate. Automated check in was easy. Only thing that was disappointed in was the tatami mat room wasn’t actually bamboo mats, it was vinyl covering. Not a big deal, but I was excited to have a tatami room.

The property was good and clean but the taxi drop off was problematic. There’s a sign that says parking less than 5 min which we only dropped off or picked up by taxi but the front desk came out a yelled at us twice.

The room was very clean and spacious. The location was great, just a few minutes’ walk to the subway station. Check-in was a bit slow, as I had to wait quite a while for an agent to respond. Unfortunately, the hallways were noisy late at night and early in the morning, and we could hear footsteps from the people staying above us.

Great location. Walkable to subway and bus stops. Down the street from a really good matcha place called Totoro, but be prepared to wait in line after it opens at 10am. Our room was lovely with the tatami room to sleep in. The beds were very comfortable. Loved the kitchen table and chairs. We made tea most evenings and relaxed and had snacks and talked about the day we had. We used the washer everyday! Have to hang your clothes up in the shower room to dry thoroughly but it worked for us. Super nice to have the toilet in a separate room from the shower and sink. Loved all the fixtures and amenities. Would definitely stay there again. Very happy with the choice.

Loved staying here. Room was huge and spacious--much bigger than other hotels in Japan. Neighborhood was quiet and it felt like an experience to be in a more residential part of town than others. That said, it wasn't as close to shopping/restaurants, but there are still plenty of options around. We found that the bus was sometimes more convenient than the subway, and a good way to see the lay of Kyoto. It did take a little bit to get used to the automated system of checking in, but totally fine once you got used to it. We had to request new towels once through the chat option in the lobby and within an hour we found new towels dropped outside our door--swapped old towels which were taken away promptly. Room itself was clean, great amenities with the kitchenette and washer/dryer, AC worked great--no complaints and would definitely recommend and stay again!

Stayed here about a week with my brother and I must say this was a fantastic choice. Located less than 5 minutes away from the Gojo train station, it is right next to alot of amenities so you can walk or commute to wherever you need to get. It's also one stop away from Kyoto station, so long distance travel is alot easier. Being an aparthotel it's larger than that standard Japanese hotel which was great. It had everything we needed and had plenty of space to feel comfortable. A few notes: -the combined washer/dryer is not super efficient at drying. I had to run the drying cycle multiple times, and it took upwards of five hours for it to completely dry. This is important if you plan to bring less clothes, but also the climate is very humid so we had to frequently come back to the apartment to take showers as we would be drenched in sweat (at one point I took a shower 4 times in a single day) -Only some of the instructions are in English. The washer/dryer was only Japanese, and only part of the toilet instructions were in English. Make sure you have some sort of translation app. -The bedrooms are quite small. For example, my room had a queen bed and had about a foot of clearance between it and the door. -The hotel is tucked away in a residential area, so try not to make too much noise. Minor quirks aside, none of this should detract from the fact that it was great choice to stay in Kyoto and would go there again.
