Maidan Nezalezhnosti was a war zone not so many months ago, but now the conflict manifests as flowers and posters memorializing those that died in Kyiv and in eastern Ukraine, and supporting the soldiers still fighting in the eastern provinces. It's a bustling city square that is closed to vehicle traffic on the weekends.
Street of the Heavenly Hundred Heroes. The plaques underneath name those who died during the crazy/violent days of the maidan protests, and their dates of death. This is under one end of the pedestrian bridge.
Smack dab in the middle of the platz. A beautiful time of year.
When the sunbeams are visible you have to take a moment to enjoy the view before taking the photo.

The location is excellent. The view is unbeatable. It’s right in the heart of the city, within walking distance of everything. However, the breakfast is very simple and the internet is poor. Still, I will always stay at Ukraina.

This listing is completely misleading. They claimed there was a washer in the apartment, but that was a lie. Instead, there were three washers in the hallway and all of them were broken. The apartment itself had a horrible odor, the furniture was extremely cheap, and it felt very unpleasant to stay ...
