"The ryokan was a very special experience. A beautiful place to stay in historic Kurashiki. It was a treat to be in such a uniquely Japanese space with the tatami floor, the futon and the special bath. Lovely staff too. "

"Our stay at Yoruya was perfect. It was a real treat to stay in a Japanese Inn style hotel with a beautiful and comfortable interior. The staff were extremely helpful and also made us feel very welcome. The hotel is extremely well located for walking to the Bikan Historical Quarter.
If you are coming to Kurushiki, this is the perfect place to stay."

"We had a great stay at the Dormy Inn! It’s super conveniently located next to Kurashiki, the staff was amazing, everyone was so nice! We also loved all the treats, the popsicles, ramen, etc The hot springs are really good too!"

The staff are friendly and helpful; the room is large, clean, and comfortable; the bath is big and the shower pressure is strong. The bathroom looks much nicer than the standard tiny unit one most hotels have.
They offer plenty of amenities at check in, and have a range of items available for free loans if you need them, e.g. phone chargers. I will definitely be visiting Alpha-1 again.
