The location is perfect. Near to china and India town.( 10 minutes walk). Various activities are nearby ( butterfly park, bird park…)
Unfortunately the rooms were not clean and there were many cockroaches. It was not easy to close my eyes.

We weren’t happy the first couple of days as the toilet in our room was leaking. After a few days of complaining, we finally was moved to a much nicer and bigger room. Overall, the rooms are ok, not very clean, had cockroaches in the rooms and dusty. We could hear the traffic noise too from the 11th floor.
The staff are nice and friendly though and service is not too bad. Overall, I think it’s pleasant enough.

There were cockroaches especially in the kitchen and toilet areas.
Wifi connection is poor. Hence, also affect the TV programme reception. There are 3 TV in both rooms and living room but only has one TV box. Can only choose one place to watch TV.

Studio apartment
This is what I would call a serviced apartment. I had the studio which comprised of a kitchenette ((equipped with a minibar fridge, a microwave, a kettle and a single induction hob) with cutlery, crockery and mugs and glasses), a lounge area, a bedroom with a king-sized bed and a bathroom.
The apartment itself was fairly clean. There was a broom provided to sweep the floors. I did notice a few small cockroaches that came out at night, but they're nothing a bit of insect spray can't handle.
I had a comfortable stay, and would choose this place again.

Five Senses KL by Dua Sentral, it's called. The 5 senses are disappointment, disgust, underwhelming, surprise and finally relief (that we were only staying a night).
I was horrified that part of the check-in process involves a photo being taken of your passport, directly INTO a WhatsApp message and sent on the check-in agent's phone! Not sure where this is being sent/ stored. Didn't seem very professional.
The photos of the Deluxe Queen Suite don't match reality. The apartment was on the 22nd floor, infested with cockroaches, and some squashed ones seen in drawers and on floors. Didn't seem thoroughly cleaned, apartment had a funny smell. No towels provided, had to go back downstairs to ask for some. Insufficient cutlery. Lots of wear and tear on the toilet, sink and bath.
There's a nice cheap place to eat on the ground floor lobby.
For a one-night stay, was tolerable. Was sent a message after the stay to give a 5 star review for a discounted future stay. Won't be returning!

Disappointing experience
Initially I tried to contact the property on the number given several times but could not get a reply.
We were a little disappointed with the condition of the Apartment, the floors were dirty in some areas in the corners and we had to sweep everyday. The access door to the a/c unit was unlocked and slightly open, which might account for the dust issue.
The equipment in some area was old, in the case of the hair dryer provided burnt out while we were using it. But the owner replaced it the same day, although she did not introduce herself as that.
The decore was a bit tired and the sliding wardrobe door in the shower/toilet was not connected to the bottom track and swung as well as slid, I thought this a bit dangerous.
I realise this was not an expensive let and on research differed little from other properties in the block, but wonder if they were of the same tired condition.

I wanted to really love my stay in Dua Sentral however, a few incidents happened that reflected my bad experience while staying in the property.
1. My initial room had dirty bathroom, where there were stains in the baths, and also the walls of tge bathroom.
2. My initial room had no electricity on day 3 starting at 4am. As there was little to no air in the room, I had to stay in the lobby til 10.15am, that when somebody opens the reception. (Yes, their reception is only open from 10am to 10pm, so even when there is an emergency like this, they will not help you, nor there is anyone to contact when there is an emergency.)
3. Even knowing that the incident had happened since 4am, they had no sense of urgency to assist. It took them more than an hour to actually send someone up to the unit to "look" at it.
4. After assessing the unit another hour later, they finally decided to move me to another unit. They didn't offer anything else for the inconvenienced caused by this, even to help me move my luggage. Bare in mind that there was no electricity since 4am, and they only sent someone around after 11am.
5. The A/C on both units were mediocre at best. Its as if you were using a fan instead of an A/C.
6. If you're gonna cook, bare in mind there is no kitchen hood, so smoke will literally covered the whole unit.
Conclusion, even though the rates are cheaper, I would think twice on staying in this property again.
