Excellent location and the staff where very helpful, can not give a full review as only a couple of guests staying their due to covid restrictions on tourism. Swimming Pool nice.

Entirely adequate!
Very basic rooms but great location, clean and cheerful with a nice view of the mountain. Friends on the side facing the street said this was quite noisy, but facing the mountain was fine

Horrible Stay!!
Absolutely basic rooms for strictly budget travellers. No service, amenities or care to be expected. Poor WiFi connection. Dirty & small bathrooms! The worst part, there are no elevators & god forbid you get a room on 2/3rd floor, you are expected to drag your bags! No bellboy or help whatsoever. Super rude & arrogant staff.

Great location but mediocre hotel.
Ok for money. Pool was nice. A/C was inadequate! Water pressure in shower was very low. Staff were nice. You had to ask to have the room serviced which they did not do!:Best thing is convenience to Beach and downtown area.

No stair and no staf helping us to bring our luggage. The pool is small and it is not consider a hotel but looks like hostel..not recommend for group because the room is paid per head and not for room.. suck

Great location nice pool area close to bars and restaurants.i think for what you pay €30 a night I think overpriced a little I was on 4th floor my friend on 2nd his room was in better condition but stay very good A/C wasn't the best. I would stay again location perfect close to everything.

Excellent Location
Walking distance to the beach, surrounding by convenience stores, restaurant, cafe. Room is clean. Good & Wi-Fi connection but the speed can be improved. The only notable problem is the water pressure is weak. Some light in the room is not working.

Very close to the beach, good locations near aonang walk. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Room are spacious worth the price. Breakfast is decent. We choose room with mountain view, very quit at night. But the hot shower not working in our room but it is okay for us.

Water heater not functioning, even minimum heat is too hot!! Adjuster broken, maybe. Television has no satellite channels. Only 1 english news channel, others are in Thai and Chinese channels, down side..no movie channels at all! Wifi, great coverage though. Overall..ok

Close to the beach.
I stayed 2 nights in a mountain(pool) view room with one king size bed & one single bed. Very spacious and cozy. The minor thing is you have to climb a staircase (no elevator) to this 2nd floor room. Can be quite challenging for elderly with a mobility problem.

This hotel is okay but looks nothing like the pictures on the site.The local area is not that great either,the sea was so dirty and there was a constant noise of boats ferrying people to Railay beach.We went back to the islands after one night.

The place was clean, the staff is supper nice. It says not to bring food to the room but the front desk girl ordered pizza and sent it to us. So sweet. Breakfast there every morning is a literally a buffet (get the hotel with breakfast included!!! Don’t miss out on that baht. It’s not worth paying there. It’s cheaper through Expedia. You’re looking at 6-8$ and there it’s $10.. ANYWHO delicious !!! It’s literally close to the beach. If you’re doing day trips THEY ALWAYS pick up from there! Book them through trip advisor before you go! It’s close o completely everything. Idk how many times we had to go back bc we forgot something and it was just a few steps away. Never once took a taxi or a Tuktuk. WE did have to pay 300bhat for the hotel shuttle to the airport. Which I wish they would have been more clear about on Expedia...instead of staying the service is there upon request.. overall the experience was amazing. Next time we will be staying here again. Oh yeah! Make sure to ask for clean towels and sheets everyday, they only do it by request.

Sweet as!
Went and stayed with my friend and we had a mountain view room on the 4th floor. Personally I preferred being up high since the other side of the road was to town and so it was a little louder longer. Nice place, clean room, great location close to the beach. Pool is awesome too !

Good location, friendly staff, but could hear every little thing from all rooms and outside, we also had a problem with people coming back at 3am waking us up throwing up shouting and banging on doors,when telling them to be quiet they just carried on.

Air con was terrible! Couldn't sleep.
I reached the hotel in the evening. Booked and paid for 'mountain view' 2 months ahead but was given room facing main road. The afternoon sun was terrible. Air con was unable to combat the great at all! Even after leaving the air con on for the evening, it was still warm when I came back after dinner.

Worst hotel
We arrive on a very hot day,no offer of a drink,no place to sit at reception,our rooms on floor 3 and 4th floor of which I emailed once I booked this hotel that I needed room on bottom floor if they had no lifted because of my back,they ended up changing my room.we booked 3 deluxe rooms and they were horrible,my room had gaps in the doors,the bed had no frame for the base mattress to sit on,around the base was dirty,the room smelled of wee,the air cond had warm heat coming out,and the remote had no backing so the battery's kept falling out,my friends room had hole in ceiling showing the wires,they had gaps in the doors too,there air conditioner wasn't working,the wardrobe had cob webs in it.it smell of wee too,my daughters was worst.ive complain with hotels .com and still waiting about getting a refund as when we booked out on the same day the girl in reception rang the boss and said I need to contact hotel.com for refund,my poor 14yearvold with special needs ended up chucking up for the heat and the smell so that's why we went.ive travel a lot and never have a room for deluxe like this.we then had to find another hotel and got a deluxe room and omg it was like 1st class to this hotel..

very strategically placed hotel
nothing fancy about the hotel. nothing luxurious. But the location is the best possible to me. Outside of the hotel, left & right already got the tour booths. The Pancake hawkers & Bike Rentals just across the road. & its like 20meters walk to the beach & 200meters walk to the McD/Starbucks?

One night stay while in transit. Perfect place to hold up for a night in ao nang. Would stay again. Never used pool but looked nice and lots of people enjoying it.

Close to the Beach
Stayed two weeks, Feb 2016. I've been going to Ao Nang since before there was an airport. Okay, the pool never really got cleaned well, the staff is pretty laid back (typical for the area but friendly if you're outgoing) and the cleaning staff forgets things and don't get too thorough. But, weighed against cost its a great deal. The bathroom is old and moldy, but its very functional and has a shower curtain so you don't do the wet foot thing on the floor. The TV is an old tube style with only a dozen or so stations. So read a book! Best of all is you're basically at the beach at a budget price. I've stayed at much better and much worse places in Ao Nang. I'd rate the Palace as a good deal for the cost.

Good location - standard could be better
This hotel has a good location just minutes away from the beach and right on the main road with restaurants and bars. That also means that if your room is facing the road - there is quite a lot of noise so if you are a light sleeper, you will not have a good night's sleep. The room itself was of good size and clean. The pool side was not well taken care of and it looked like the pool had not been cleaned in a long time - leaves around the pool area and in the pool.

Hotel with very bad external presentation, e.g. no lobby, etc...., no decent hotel entrance access, doesn't look like a hotel for family stay. It is pity because the location is great.

You can find better!
Hotel is a great location, close to the beach,nightlife, food etc but the rooms are very outdated and run down. The pool area is not maintained with not mats on the sunbeds (half are broken) the umbrellas are covered with mould and the pool is full of leaves. I never saw anyone swim in the pool. The breakfast is basic and we only ate eggs every morning. It's good if all you want is a bed but its not a relaxing place.

Good, clean, comfortable room close to the downtown. Was within walking distance f the night Bizzar. Couldn't beat the price. Travel desk inside hotel was very helpful and spoke English. Front desk staff speak enough English.

My boyfriend and I came to Aonang for holiday and I chose The Palace Aonang for our 4-day stay. It's a 3* hotel, not resort as it calls itself. The room is standard. there was still mosquitoes in room so i guessed it was not clean as it should be. However, we were out most of the time so it didn't affect us much. The hotel is on a busy street, close to the beach (2 mins walking), a lot of restaurants and supermarket nearby, so it was quite convenient. In general, it was a good price in relative to the quality and benefit around.

upset my stay!
Perfect location. But what upset my stay was when going to breakfast which took 20 mins. Someone went in my room and took £40 cash and took my credit card and spent £250!!! When told the receptionist she said it had happened before!!

Uncomfortable night staying at the hotel
No first impression, staff denied giving any info. whatever we asked they replied "no idea" Uncomfortable room, room was not cleaned neatly including bathroom, TV had no signal every channel Be annoyed by asking us to give our room to other and keep trying appology until the late night No reliability sevice, they refuse to check the driver that the hotel has made an appointment to pick us to the airport to fly back home even if it's 20mins late. We're risk to miss the flight

The hotel has a fantastic location with a lovely view at the ocean. It was good room for a budget stay. Could be noisy from the other people comming in and out their rooms, talking really loud, but nothing too crazy. Great stay for younger and not too fussy people.

friendly staff, but the hotel smells sewer
the hotel is located not far from the ao nang beach, three four minutes walking distance. the name of the hotel is misleading, it is neither a palace, nor a resort. it is a four-story guest house. the room and the common place are clean, but they apparently are having some issue with pluming as the smells of sewer in the bathroom is very strong, and it gets stronger at night. the shower is a joke, with tinny amount of water coming out of the shower head.
