Very nice big pool, peaceful by the ocean and great staff, who were always very attentive. Breakfast was good, and generally I would say this was good value for what we paid for it. Plenty of nice options for lunch / dinner (great value) along the beach by the hotel.
There is a lot of steps going down to the pools and dining from the rooms, so if you're elderly or not comfortable with that, this wouldn't be a suitable place for you. The gym is very basic and has equipment, but quite crammed together. Some areas of the hotel feel a little worn/ tired and could do with a slight spruce and refurb in places.
We stopped over at the Sofitel and Ritz Carlton up the road for dinner, and those are what you would expect for a 5* rated hotel. I would say by other hotels I've stayed in the region, this is more of a 4*
