However the bed was extremely uncomfortable (mattress was collapsed), shower stall was blocked, hot water boiler was spoilt (although reloaded quickly) and the dryer wasn't working. Staff are only available from 9 am to 6 pm which makes them inaccessible. Excellent location but spoilt by these details. "

"The staff were extremely friendly and the lobby is very nice. The rooms are a bit dated, but it goes with the vibe of the hotel so it didn't bother me. The shower however had mildew and stained grout that hadn't been addressed even after brining it to the attention of staff. I was even able to take a towel and wipe away some of the mildew after staff told me that it was just the grout. There was even mildew behind the toiletry dispenser in the shower. "Loved the idea of staying above a pub. The sound of the music did not bother me when trying to sleep while the pub was open on the night we went to bed earlier. The only downfall was the door from the pub to the stairs to the rooms. At 6:30 AM staff and/or guest were constantly coming through the door that would slam loudly and keep you up. It was fun to stay here and easy walk to room after a night out."
