Totally relaxing. Great staff. Ideal location. Only downsides were no draught beer and catering, although faultless, not quite "fine dining." No fresh fruit or vegetables.
Hotel is in a very secluded place, but everything you need, they have. The views surrounding the hotel are phenomenal, short stroll down the path and youre at the loch. The food was cooked superbly although there wasn’t a wide range of choice. The staff cant be more helpful and are a good laugh.
Beautiful hotel and surrounding area. Very special stay

Very good hotel.
Smart, comfortable room with real coffee, biscuits and tablet on a tray. Hotel in beautiful location with large garden to walk in. Good breakfast and reasonable dinner in impressive dining room.
Stayed in a Bothey and it was absolutely fabulous
The hotel is quite remote so lots of peace and tranquility with fantastic views, restaurant had nice food and the hotel had lots of spaces so you could have privacy if you wanted it. If you like TV and noisy bars then not the place for you
The staff were really friendly and helpful too
On arrival at 1.30pm, we were checked in by Chris and taken to a room which did not resemble the picture of the "Superior Loch View " room which we had booked. ( Chris said that these were sample photos and that previous guests had also pointed this out). It had a loch view but the window was very shabby, curtains were hanging off, bathroom door was undercoated and needed to be painted. The room was certainly not even basic or worth the money and we made this clear to Chris who said nothing and clearly couldn't care. When we went for dinner at 7pm, a lady member of staff asked us about our room as she had been left a memo and offered us an upgrade to a "Garden Bothy" which was far superior and comfortable once it had heated up while we went for dinner.

Thank goodness for scenery.....let down by hotel!!
Nice hotel loads of room for improvement! Very understaffed. Zoe was very helpful and appeared to be running the hotel alone which we didn't think was very safe. Under floor hearing in the lodge took ages to heat up. Lack of information on the website regarding TV's was VERY unacceptable! This should be noted as a couples retreat as many people enjoy watching tv to relax. Poor wifi connection. NO Lofht outside our lodge which was unsafe also. Good food but would not return.
Enjoyed our stay as it's a beautiful location. staff very friendly and helpful though hotel needs a few more
Good at dinner very good quality
Location is 7 miles on single track roads so well off beaten track
We loved our room
Ardeonaig Hotel is set amongst wonderful scenery on the south bank of Loch Tay. If you are looking for a a quiet place to stay for a couple of days then this is the place for you. The food is excellent and the service can not be faulted with friendly helpful staff. The wi-fi connection was intermitant due to the remote location which didn't bother us much. We had a very enjoyable stay and will return.
The hotel is in a lovely setting, overlooking the loch. We stayed in one of the Bothys, a large comfortable room with space to sit outside, on a clear night the stars are amazing. The food in the restaurant was great.
I have been going to this wonderful hotel for the past 35 years and it improves for the better each year. It is comfortable, beautifully appointed in the most amazing and idyllic location you can imagine with private access to Loch Tay. Fantastic rooms, very very good food and friendly if somewhat inexperienced staff. My ONLY complaint was they ran out fresh cream on Sunday evening!! And no TV is fantastic for relaxation.
Privacy, very quiet, nice view next to the lake. Garden Bothy is ideal for a romantic escape weekend.
Food in the restaurant has been good and satisfying.
We stayed in one of the garden rooms and have nothing but praise for the location and the accommodation. Everything was very clean and well equipped.
The staff are a young team and are headed up by manager Leanne and assistant manager/chef Alan. Again, we have nothing but praise for the quality of service given in a friendly and approachable manner. The whole team are a credit to the hotel and made our stay special and enjoyable. We had dinner in the restaurant on our last night and we can recommend the pork chop dish and sea food platter - heaven on a plate.
For us, the hotel was a real find, a hidden gem and we look forward to returning.
Excellent choice
Relaxing hotel with quiet atmosphere.
Rooms are very comfortable though lacking in what other visitors may deem a requirement, TV and WiFi connectivity.
Lounges are however, provided with good internet speed.
Excellent catering with good portions. if you are still hungry, have a walk down to the lochside on the left where there are a plethora of fruit bushes growing wild.
An interesting single track road from Killin that should be taken with care.
What a 'find'! Comfortable hotel, upmarket decor, beautiful location. nice staff, excellent breakfast, lovely comfortable room with quality furniture, sheets, towels etc. So many public areas. The front lounge would be great in the Winter with the real fire and with the bar next door! We really hope to return.
Evening meal presentation and taste was delicious though quite expensive. Breakfast was good and tasty. The staff were all quite young and appeared not to be fully trained and quite inexperienced at times. Nice place to relax and chill out.
Gentleman at checkin seemed perplexed and disappointed that we had managed to book a discounted room online that was not available. He then gave us an upgraded room with a brilliant view down to Loch Tay so we were very happy with that. We had arrived late and decided to eat in for the 3 course set menu as the nearest town in Killin is about 12 kms away on a narrow road. Portion sizes were very small. The food was overly fussy with many different components and no flavour. The one scallop that was served as an entree was accompanied by something that I'm sure was mixed with curry powder. It was inedible. The chef is obviously trying hard with a menu beyond his capacity. He personally served everyone's dessert to the table. The other 4 couples also dining all said everything was fine. No one wants to hurt someone's feelings but clearly we were all thinking the same thing as evidenced by other reviews. A menu with good local produce and simple great flavours is required for the restaurant to survive. I don't usually write reviews. It really is an amazing place and deserves to be enjoyed at all levels.
If I went again we would pay for the upgraded room with an overview of the Loch. See if you can get a taxi to Killin if you want to have drink or buy up a range of Scottish delicacies from the House of Bruar and sit in your room to enjoy the view
Lovely staff, great service and a very relaxing couple of days. Some really nice personal touches which makes this place. Great food as well. We will return!
Perfect position on Loch Tay, with cosy lounges and views of the lawn down to the private pier. Staff really welcoming from the moment we arrived on our tandem. Food was excellent and worth a trip for itself. Definitely not pub grub - more towards a Relais and Chateau
Along with the isolated location and the lack of contact with the outside world through the media of neither TV or RADIO available to guests impacted greatly on our stay. The Dinner Menu was limited and overpriced. The Breakfasts however were excellent !
The staff are a credit to this hotel, they work really hard and can't do enough for you.
If you're looking to get away and relax in a beautiful setting then this is the place for you.
The stay at Ardeonaig was fantastic, a 7 mile drive outside of Killin, the hotel is extremely remote with fantastic views of the Loch. The staff were phenomenal and their attention to detail really shone through, ensuring a personal experience. I would recommend this hotel to anyone, the rooms were brilliant. They keep them nice and warm in the -9 degree temperature that comes with the Highlands!
Fab overnight stay on beautiful Loch Tay. Food and atmosphere excellent. Would be good to have fires in all lounges in winter -and add option for fruit at breakfast.lovely touch with flask of hot chocolate and Baileys on our pillow as a night cap! We'll be back
Nothing particularly good or bad about this place. For the price, expected more; it felt like a very scenic Best Western. Rooms were sparse, small bathrooms. Exterior grounds were lovely. Of the 2 weeks and 10 places we stayed at in Scotland, this was the least impressive for the money. Felt like it should have cost closer to 110-120 GBP instead of 150/night.
A lovely hotel, in a fabulous setting. The staff were friendly and helpful. Good food, and comfortable accommodation. We enjoyed our stay, and will definitely visit again.

Nice secluded hotel.
The location of the hotel is very lonely, unfortunately it is not possible to sit directly near lakeside. The breakfast was fresh and varied. There is no restaurant nearby.
