Atana Khasab in December
The hotel setting is fantastic. The views of the sea from the room and from the restaurant terrace are truly wonderful. But the hotel does not have a beach to swim from, and the town does not have much to offer. We took the boat tour to swim and to see dolphins (and that was lovely), but then we couldn’t find anything else to do during our stay. So if you are planning to stay for more than 2 nights, take a couple of good book with you. You’ll need them to fill in the time.

This hotel is one out of two decent hotels available in khasab. So the options are very limited to choose from. However l, this hotel has the basic facilities, such pool and Gym. It mis also nearby the activities and is considered to be a premium place for dubai visitors for overnight stay. Yet, the hotel does not host any entertainment or social place to meet up and enjoy music, dance or even shisha, as there is nothing in khasab to entertain. Also, the service in the restaurant for breakfast and dinner is slow. The staff tried their best to keep us happy, maybe my expectations were set high.

Our visit to Oman was probably one of the best short holidays we have experienced. The hotel is in an ideal location, it is quiet and peaceful with amazing views. From our initial arrival to our departure the reception staff, in particular Fawzia and Lamia, were fantastic. They assisted with all our needs and always had a big smile on their faces ! The restaurant staff were also fantastic, the food is good with plenty of choice. The hotel itself is clean and well presented, we will most definitely be returning. The Omani people we met were all friendly and very welcoming a credit to their country, a visit we will never forget and will most certainly repeat !

It was not good enough. First it is a bit expensive even during off season, restricted timing for using swimming pool, restaurant not having vegetarian meal option.

When we arrived they didn't have our booking in the system despite booking ok Expedia. It took almost an hour to sort this out and checkin. Room was ok and clean but over priced for what you get. It's a simple 3 star motel but a least clean. The facilities are basic and breakfast nothing to write home about. Lamb chops for diner was good though. I don't think that we will be returning here not that there is much more of a choice in Khasab. Definitely overpriced for what they offer. Staff are in desperate need for some hospitality training. There was no managerial presence at all.

Nice location, friendly staff. Had two connecting mountain rooms which were very spacious for a family. Improvement: Internet was not available in rooms, only in main building. Rooms (wooden panels) appears quite used and could need an overhaul.

Beautiful location
We spent two nights at Atana Khasab, and whilst it is in a fabulous location, you are completely reliant on the hotel shuttle service to get anywhere as it is too far to walk to town and there are no taxis in Khasab. However, the shuttle was available whenever we needed it so it didn't prove to be a big problem for us. The town itself doesn't have a huge amount to offer tourist wise, although Khasab Castle (fort) is well worth a visit. As Khasab is located in a simply stunning environment - you have to do a dhow trip into the fjord and go snorkelling and take a drive up into the mountains!

The hotel was very comfortable with two large beds and a really nice Arabian Gulf view. The bar was fun and full of people. The pool was nice, but the water was too warm (it was late July). Although the air conditioner was wonderful in the room, the hallways were hot.

I really, really want to rate this hotel better but the room amenities were just not worth the price we paid for the room. The bathroom was small but the shower was miniscule. I was hoping for a bathtub but could barely even fit in the tiny shower. Plus, the shower head did not work at all. It was supposed to be a rain shower type head and sprayed out in all directions, none of which were conducive the limited space inside the shower. I think more water got on the floor of the bathroom than in the shower itself.

Overall a very good experience staying at the hotel. Views are fantastic and the hotel is good. Food was ordinary with not many options for Indian cuisine.

The hotel is in a prime position. The room are old and could do with a revamp. The staff were not fully conversant in English. The breakfast was expensive and not worth the AED80 paid.

Good base for visiting Khasab
Staff at the hotel were really helpful and the room was clean and spacious. Bathroom not the best design in the world. The hotel provides a free shuttle for airport pick ups and transfers to the town (note - there is no local taxi service). The restaurant portions are huge and the breakfasts filling.

Visited for a weekend break and a visa run from Abu Dhabi. The hotel is slightly out of town and is very pleasant. The pool was not too bad but very warm so not pleasant but it is high Summer. The bar was good, with food available from the restaurant, room was clean and tidy, although the shower was slightly dated and the shower head was too low. Would definitely go back as its competitively priced and the drive there is really scenic.

The hotel is clean and comfortable, but the main attraction is the location, on a promontory jutting out into the waters of the Straights of Hormuz, with a backdrop of the Hajar mountains, Many rooms have balconies with beautiful views over the water. If you care about such things, request a room on floors 2-4. Dinner on the balcony overlooking the water is also delightful.

The hotel AC has been malfunctioning for many days now and this fact was hidden from us.The management is just not bothered about it.In the peak summer heat we suffered with kids inside the room.The AC was not working fully even in the corridors,reception,restaurant and most of the rooms. Our plea to provide alternate accommodation or at least arrange for a fan to escape from the heat was not even responded to by the reception staff.The customer service manager is not even visiting the hotel these days,we were told.We just escaped from getting locked up inside the room as the room doors got jammed and the maintenance guy took his sweet time to attend to it.Maintenance seems to be just not existing at this so called 4 star hotel.This hotel seems to be heading for a natural death from its past glory due to poor management.This place cannot be recommended to anyone looking for a peaceful and trouble free stay in Khasab.

Perfect for weekend-trip to Khasab / Musandam area
Perfectly situated hotel close to Khasab Harbour. Restaurants and food were OK (acceptable quality but nothing exceptional). The hotel's situation is perfect for a romantic and/or relaxing getaway and serves well as a base for outdoor activities in the Khasab / Musandam area of Oman. Would definitely stay here again.

Diarrhoea from breakfast
Everything was great. Until I had diarrhea on the way home. Hotel breakfast was the only thing I had at that time, so I'm pretty sure something was wrong either with the omelette or the pancake, because those were the things which I ate, but my husband didn't eat.
