"Excellent hotel stay at Anchor In. Upon arrival, the front desk team was very kind in making recommendations for restaurants and activities in the area, and gave us a wonderful room with a view of the waterfront. Parking was easy, and the property was clean. Once in the room, it had all of the features expected, in room coffee, fridge, safe, plenty of shampoo, soap, etc. The TV had so many channels that it was challenging to keep track of all the options. "This “ Motel” needs a whole lot of updating. Upon entering the room we noticed there were ants everywhere. So bad that our bed and cupboards were literally infested with them. We told the lady at the front desk and she sprayed vinegar and that was it. We had then crawling on us while trying to sleep. DISGUSTING. The tv dud not work at all the first night. Just buffered because apparently it’s wifi cable and we were told basically nothing they could do because the internet was slow. However...

The staff gave us access to their sister properties, Blue Water and Red Jacket Resorts. "I rarely leave negative reviews, but our experience here was disappointing enough that I feel obligated to share it. On our first full day, my fiancée and I left the room around 10:00 AM. When we returned at approximately 3:00 PM, the room still had not been cleaned. At 3:20 PM, we called the front desk and specifically requested housekeeping. "When we arrived the hotel looked deserted so I called and found out they seem to have a few properties connected on the street. Mid October is off season so we were moved to the harbor hotel a block away. I was very grateful for this since the other one was a ghost town. Out stay at the harbor hotel was fabulous. "We stayed here for three days on Memorial Day weekend. The king size bed was excellent as well as the table 2 chairs and a couch. We’re planning on coming back when we need to find a place to stay. That’s not really expensive. And had a microwave small refrigerator like under the counter, but it was a larger than what you find in other hotel rooms. If you just looking for a comfortable place without being on the beach and paying over price hotel rooms, this is a good find"

"The hotel was nice, you get a free breakfast every morning with a variety of options. The hot breakfast is something different everyday. They do fresh cookies every night at 8. Tea, coffee and hot chocolate is availble all day. The coffee was not always hot. The hotel was clean and the staff were helpful with anything we needed. They have an indoor and outdoor pool, hot tub in the indoor pool area and an outdoor sitting area.The only complaint I have is the hotel was dog friendly which is fine...

"Whilst this hotel was extremely clean, spacious and had a brilliant pool and beach area it is extremely dated. The hallway smelt, the decor is dark brown and awful pine furniture. There was no safe in the bedrooms which as a non US traveller is a must. Only 2 towels were provided for 3 people, no bathroom mat and no hand towel. The air con whilst worked was loud and cumbersome. Breakfast had no fresh fruit and every thing had to be put into a single use bowl, plate, you name it."
