"The staff was nice, property was clean but it could be a 10 with a little updating. Just walk the resort next door to compare. Raked sand, beach chairs with no rips or sags, furniture not from the 80’s. Master bed was comfortable however sofa bed had cheapest full mattress ever, single mattress cover , king mattress pad then queen sheets . Mattresses cover made the thin mattress curl, it just seemed cheaply like trying to cut too many corners. With the great location beautiful views this place could be a 10 instead a 7."

"Room had bugs in the bathroom and under the pillows couldn’t stay there. The rid lady at the desk said she couldn’t refund me only offer a different room. If one has bug they all Do! Do not recommend the shower is the size of a pizza box. The floor in the room is very un level enough to cause you to trip. The balcony is old and rotten very un level. Stairs are rickety. The room looks like something out of 70’s PCB to small tiny chairs are the only place to sit in the room that’s about 10’ square nothing like the photos on the website. "

"Breakfast was hard boil eggs, toast, pastries, cereal, yogurt, juices and milk. Clean everything. Great staff. Great location. The floor where I stayed had a weak spot by the room fridge, but held up good enough. Would recommend!!"

"This is a beautiful property, as it should be considering the price. The first 2 days were nice, we had a beautiful view from our balcony but the following 2 days we had cruise ships blocking our entire view. I never saw one thing about it in any of the information! If so, I would have never stayed there! The second disappointment was their spa. It is not located on the property where the Opal is located. It's across, on an island, in their sister property. You have to take a ferry from the Opal. If you're planning a massage, expect to spend the entire day. We were hoping for a massage and some bike riding but there was not enough time so no massage! Third disappointment was the "in room" dining. There are no instructions in the room, no phone number to call. We called the front desk and they gave us a number to call. It closes at 9 o'clock so we were unable to order breakfast for the next morning. We called before 9 the next night. No answer. We called the front desk. They were not friendly or accommodating at all. I explained we needed to get the order in and it had to be delivered by 8 a.m. Very rude. She finally took the order. We get a call the next morning asking what we wanted to order! Front desk didn't even tell them! And with only one restaurant, you better like Spanish/Mexican food because that's the only choice. I will say the pool area and bar were very, very nice! I can't really give any higher than a 3 or 4 star"

"We arrived an hour early asked if we could get into our room early, was told it wan't ready but they would text as soon as it was. Never texted. It's not the properties fault but if in an outside room forget about sleeping! The roosters start around 3:30AM. What is the properties fault is the timing of garbage pickup. One morning the truck was emptied at 3:30AM another day 5:AM which is ridiculous, luckily the Roosters already had me up."
