"It felt like a home away from home. We had large suite with a balcony. The beds were comfortable. The views were amazing."

"It was a lovely stay. The room was comfortable. The view was beautiful from the room, and there was a nice restaurant that served breakfast with the option of buffet or to order. There was a nice walking path to explore the grounds. The food was delicious and the view from the restaurant was beautiful. The staff was very friendly. We would definitely stay again."

"The room was very clean and smelled of bleach when we got in. Basic necessities one bed, one chair and table. The bathroom felt like a hallway, very tiny but maneuverable just enough space if your able body. Easy access to the harbor by walking across the road and there is unground path way to take. We were right next to the road but didn’t hear much traffic and slept well. The front desk lady was helpful in showing me where to check in for our boat trip. They have coffee available in the office."

"The Pinecone Palace cottage I stayed at was wonderful. It had everything I needed- clean room, comfortable bed, TV, outdoor space, and kitchenette. The outdoor space included a table and chairs and a fire ring, and parking was close. There was a heater and humidifier to keep me comfortable, and the kitchen area was furnished with dishes and utensils, and had a table with pull out stools. I would recommend Bear Necessities Cottages to anyone looking for a perfect stay, an easy drive from downtown Seward."

"Very clean, very nice looking yurts. Only inconvenience is the restrooms are detached. Which means, if you need to pee in the middle of the night, not only do you have to get dressed and step outside, there's always this slight chance you run into wildlife, when all you need is to relive yourself urgently😂. Hey, but that's the price of wanting a fancy camping experience, right? Place is otherwise gorgeous"
