"Having stayed on one of hottest days of year the air conditioning in bedrooms was extremely welcome and efficient. I thought uk king size beds would be standard in hotels. Not used to a double bed but it was clean and comfortable. Bathroom spotless but struggled to access the shower over bath as you had to step in onto slope at end of bath. If you have even a minor disability then try to get an accessible room.. The pool was a good size and well maintained as was gym. Good sized pool towels....

"So it took me about 20 minutes to get into the property because they don’t have staff in on a Sunday- the intercom doesn’t then allow entry into the building. After a long wait and conversation that basically made me feel like an inconvenience for staying there- eventually I get into the building and at this point I have a surprise pre-authorisation to do of £70 where I have to read my card details to a lady who clearly has random people in the room with her- not thrilled about that. "The Green Man is a lovely place to stay, nicely decorated and clean, comfortable rooms. The beer garden is an added gem in the summer months. The staff were extremely helpful and courteous. Our only complaint was that there were insufficient staff in the bar and restaurant to cope with high demand at the weekend. I however would definitely recommend the Green Man and will look forward to my next stay."

"There was no AC. being a listed building makes it hard to install AC. the room was so hot it was almost unbearable. One sash window could only open about 20cm at the bottom, as secondary double glazing had been installed it was not possible to open the top part. The other window only opened at the bottom but would not stay open so staff put a cushion there to keep it open. They gave us another fan which helped. Because of the heat in the room we could not close the curtains at night as that...

"Cheap useful room, with fridge and microwave. Hob and sink outside (no pots or plates etc, bring your own). Only 1 very thin pillow each, only 1 teaspoon. Plenty of sockets, free parking if you are lucky, but you can park on road until 8.30am. We did this and were able to park onsite at 8. We would go again."
