"We had a wonderful time staying here for two weeks. The staff were first class, breakfast was amazing. Location was perfect, easy to get around. The hotel itself in design is very cool. Laundry service is offered for a fee and we used it, clothes came back clean and neatly folded. Couple 7/11 nearby if you want to grab snacks or drinks. Since people mention privacy a lot for the swim up pools: We had a swim up room right in front of the bar. If your curtains are open during the day, people can kind of see into your room from the pool or walkway across the pool. At night if you have the lights on and curtains open, it’s a clear view into the room. But there are two sets of curtains, sheer (near impossible to see through during daylight but see through at night) and blackout curtains that block day and night view. In other words, you choose your level of privacy and can be as private (or not) as you want."
Centara Grand Beach Resort Phuket

"I have stayed at Centara Grand Beach Resort Phuket before and returned because I enjoyed my previous stay. Compared with other Phuket resorts, I still consider it one of the best. The resort is beautiful, with a great atmosphere, lovely surroundings, and good facilities. However, the rooms and some facilities are becoming outdated and need renovation and better maintenance. The blinds do not block out enough light for a good night's sleep. Blackout curtains and double-glazed windows would improve darkness, reduce noise, and increase comfort. Overall, I had a very good experience and would recommend this resort. With some investment in renovations and upgrades, Centara Grand could be exceptional. I hope management takes this as constructive feedback, as this resort has great potential and deserves to be maintained and upgraded."

"Really enjoyed my stay at Avista Grande Phuket Karon this weekend. A lovely hotel in a great location, with beautifully appointed and well-maintained facilities. The breakfast was excellent, and the staff were consistently friendly and welcoming. Overall, a really enjoyable stay and somewhere I would happily return to."

"Overall Great Hospitality, But Operational & Dining Shortfalls Need Attention We appreciated the team's hospitality during our stay. The staff were polite, professional, and always greeted us with a smile. The pre-arrival check for special occasions was a thoughtful touch, and the room's birthday decoration with a complimentary cake was lovely. The breakfast buffet was fantastic, with excellent variety served late into the morning. However, several areas need management's attention: Allergen Diligence: Despite providing dietary restrictions pre-arrival, we had to remind staff of our allergies with every order. This should be logged against the room number for seamless care. Half-Board Dining: Food quality was high, but the à la carte menu was too limited for a half-board stay. We ran out of options and expected a buffet or 3-course meal instead of 2 courses. Facilities & Excursions: Restricting playroom access to 1 hour daily was overly rigid. Hotel excursion prices were also heavily marked up compared to local high-street rates. Major Issue: We experienced a 4-to-5-hour blackout during peak evening hours. While management cited a public grid failure, a reputable chain like Novotel should have proper backup generators to prevent such severe disruptions. We hope this feedback helps refine the guest experience."
