"The accommodation is well-situated, within walking distance of both the beach and Melissani Lake. There are some sports courts just behind the property that seem free to use, and the bakery next door is fabulous. The local beach was one of our favorites; while it might not have the dramatic beauty of Myrtos or Fteri, it is definitely the coolest beach in Kefalonia. The cold water from Melissani Lake flows into the sea here, creating a refreshing cold top layer. We really appreciated this in the July heat, and there is often a fresh breeze, too. The flat is a good size, clean, and well-furnished. The air conditioning works well, though you can't set the temperature below 23°C (which, to be fair, is cool enough). The only annoying bit is that after a while, the temperature resets itself up to 25°C or 26°C on its own. The owners are great, very helpful and even let us borrow a beach mat and a parasol, which was an absolute lifesaver!There's a couple of restaurant within walking distance which we haven't tried. Sami is only 5mn drive or 30mn walk by the beach and offer plenty choices. I'd definitely recommend this place."

"Panos and his wife wet were excellent hosts. They were very friendly and most helpful. The room was cleaned every day, had a small but adequate (for us) tv and a lovely, quiet air conditioning unit. A 5 minute walk or 10 minute stroll to the harbour and the tavernas. Located up a little bit of an incline but I managed it well enough even while carrying a weeks supply of water for 2 and I’m 68."

"We had a wonderful stay in the ground-floor studio at Ballas Apartments. The courtyard is amazing, and the views looking across Agia Effimia harbour are absolutely incredible. ​Stavros was an exceptional, genuinely helpful host who went above and beyond at all times to ensure we had the best holiday. Location-wise, it’s ideal—we easily drove to Assos and Fiskardo in around 40 minutes. The drive from the airport is straightforward, but a hire car is essential for exploring. Highly recommend this lovely place for a stay in Kefalonia!"

"Fabulous Villa Katerina! Totally private and in a stunning, quiet spot with lovely views. We loved the spacious living area and well-equipped kitchen, but the outside was so special - we ate every meal on the terrace and used the bbq every night. The heated pool was gorgeous and so much bigger than we expected! Our host Rosanna was very helpful and easy to contact, and she had provided some food essentials when we arrived, which was a nice touch. The daily housekeeping was much appreciated too. Loved it, we’ll be back!"
