The staff were friendly, the hotel has bike to use for free, the hotel was satisfactory, a bit dated and shabby.

Outstanding value for money.
Excellent value for money. Quiet neighbourhood on the opposite side of the city to most tourist spots, however it was located within a 10 minute walk of two subway stations. Some good local restaurants and a convenient (and cheap) 24 hour supermarket within a 5 minute. walk

Lovely place overall.
Loved it! only complaint was they didn't really speak English well. But overall had a great time! Had great Wifi!

Horrible Room Condition
Room 307 was very run down. Wall paper peeling, wall paint faded, cables and TV decoder hanging on the mirror and slept with a dead mosquito. Dressing table had sticky stain on dressing table guess left by previous customer and chambermaid did not clean it. Internet speed was very slow, it took 2 hours to upload all pictures and video taken during the day to my Google Drive. The next hotel which I stayed took only 20 mins, same amount of pictures and video files. Felt deceived by the pictures shown on Hotel.com. Not expecting that big room size, but the room condition should be so the same standard. See pictures I've taken and you think about it. Reception is polite and friendly, just a typical KaoHisung people.

This is okay if you just are going to stay for one night. The room is rather small. The local areal is not interesting ... hard to find places to eat.The staff is friendly but speak no English

One of the worst hotels Ive ever stayed, not worth at all paying for year end price. Upon arrival, we'd the experience of hearing staffs/owners arguing amongst each other. Hotel staffs are lousy, cant speak basic english at all, no basic facility like iron as well. Distance not good, distance away from the main spots. As for the room outlook, it is very old and need a refurbishment urgently. The only good thing bout this hotel is that the water current is strong. Just dont be deceived with the photos here, this hotel definitely must to be removed from all booking sites

Property was pretty nice. Room was small but adequate, shower was hot. Price was right. Everything I needed. Could have used an electrical plug converter for my laptop though. Metro is a 5 - 10 minute walk just south of here along with a Starbucks.

Great For Budget Travellers
The hotel staff were friendly through the stay. However the rooms were a little small and the interior could use a makeover.

The worst hotel I have stayed in very dirty staff
We check in dropped off cases then went for something to eat when we got back we saw the state of the room it was very dirty I took photo. We were due to stay 3 nights but it was that bad we checked out the following day. We complained to Expedia who we booked through. When asking staff on reception anything they just laughed and were very unhelpful and rude will not recommend this place to anyone it not fit to put a dog in

Good hotel in a good location
Good location. Plenty of eating outlets and a big shopping centre nearby. Between two metro stations (about 8 mins walk). Safe area. Near LiuHe night market - not recommended to visit, better go RuiFeng night market by train. Room is clean - compact and enough space. Cable TV reasonable choice. Good WiFi in room. Kettle available but can top up drinking walk at the water cooler. Friendly reception and give good advice on city tour.

Inexpensive and practical
The hotel is quite old but really inexpensive and offers all the basics including a simple buffet breakfast. The business room is small but OK for a short stay. There is a desk but no chair... Located near two metro stations (Xinyi Elementary School and Culture Center), 10 - 15mn by foot. By taxi it's about TWD100 from TRA Kaohsiung Station, but if it's not hot and one is not burdened with too much luggage, a leisurely walk of about half an hour along a river also leads to the hotel.

Depends on your expectation
There is a building site about 20 metres away which makes the pavement and air dirty. Price is low and you got your money's worth, but don't expect more. It faces a busy road so it'll be noisy. If you lives in sub-urban areas, you may have difficulty in sleeping. Within several minutes of walking distance to MRT. Kaohsiung's air pollution is serious. Room's cleanliness is acceptable if you don't expect the level of a 4 or 5 stars hotel. People in Taiwan are generally nice and the staff are helpful. I would rate them 4.5 if the system allows.

Stay was nice, staff is really nice and helpful. Room was small for lot of luggage. Shower pressure was really strog and too hot. Overall, the room was comfy. Breakfast was OK (just Chinese) but not really tasty and too early ending time. It's a bit far from the MRT Station and not many things around the area. Good for budget saving.

It was cheap and had a buffet breakfast
Location isn't too bad as it's roughly 10 minutes from the nearest MRT stop on foot. The room we had needed a bit of TLC. We were a bit amused that we weren't allowed to change the channel on the TV or change the volume (there was tape on the remote). It was also a bit odd that we had to leave our key at the front desk every time we left the hotel, but that meant one less thing to lug around all day. While we were checking in a man came to the counter asking to use a room for only a couple hours. There was a woman waiting for him in the elevator. A bit sketchy but at least the place was cheap. The breakfast buffet was pretty decent. The toilet had a malfunction on our second night but staff were prompt in sending someone up to remedy the situation.

Overall still alright.
The hotel is a little far from the train station for me as I have heavy luggages. The distance is alright when I'm just carrying my day bag. But it's a convenient location to explore the city. The hotel doesn't have many power outlets. There's some miscommunication with the staff as they called me to check out when they have previously confirmed with me that I'm staying another night. If you request for housekeeping, they do the basics but I realized they did not vacuum the floor. However overall, the staff were friendly and helpful. The TV is placed pretty high, so you have to strain your neck a little.

Small room and bed but clean and comfortable
The rooms are rather small, even the double size bed is small for two pax. But room clean and comfortable. With wifi and breakfast, it's a very good price. Overall, satisfied stay as I was looking to save money.

The poorest hotel i've ever stayed in mywhole life
i was really regret for choosing this hotel. They gave me the room with a broken air conditioner even without saying sorry. Therefore, the service was really bad. Rui Gui Hotel, Kaohsiung is truly not recommended for all those who want search a convenience to stay.

古いホテル。以前は高雄後駅前などにも系列ホテルがあったようだが、今は探せなかった。コロナ前は宿泊代が半額以下だったが、あまりにも高くなっており、びっくりした。ホテルに最低限のことを求めるならば十分。シャワー共用や相部屋が嫌でフロントで英語が通じ安いホテルを望むならば必要十分。シャワー水圧もあり、ドライヤーも風量が十分だった。ただし、古さゆえ、きれいな印象は受けない。

値段相応でした。
MRTの駅から比較的近くコンビニも近くにあります。フロントで日本語は通じませんが親切な対応でした。部屋は古くエアコンの温度調整はできないのですが、メンテナンスはされています。しかし冷蔵庫が壊れていてプラグを指しても冷えなかった。浴室はシャワーカーテンがないのと水圧が低いですがバスタブがあるので日本人向きかもしれません。
