Overall... Very happy to have found M Qube Hotel
I had a very comfortable stay here. The place is very clean and the capsules are very modern and very comfortable. The manager and the staff are very friendly. I booked for just one night, but liked this place so much I decided to stay for 2 more nights. Many hawkers (food) stalls right outside the building and right across the building is a convenience store. Also, close by is a big mall and many good restaurants. Also, very close by is a bus station... So it is very easy to get to wherever you want to go in Penang.

Good accommodation/bed and quite good location for food. Only problem is that underneath the bed is dirty. Found sweet wrappers and other rubbish underneath it on my last day of stay. Other than that no serious issues.

It was my first time visited M Qube Hotel and did not know what is the procedure of checking in. When I got to the counter, I saw no one so I rang the bell twice. An old man I assumed he’s the owner came out and started patronizing me ‘Why did you rang twice? Can’t you just wait?’ with a very displeasing attitude. The whole experience of him touring me around was like my boss telling me what to do. I was that close to walk out of the door. But to be fair, the room is excellent, very clean and quiet. You can find anything you need in there without any hassle. Facilities - 8/10 Staff experience - 1/10 Overall - I wouldn’t go back again

We stayed overnight as arrived into Penang on a very late flight, check in was a little strange as the manager wanted an unknown confirmation number that I did not have......Not sure how many British tourists with a welsh surname visit MQube in Penang at 1am but I am fairly sure I would be the only one! 😂 Comfortable double pod. Managed to get some good sleep and I am a very light sleeper. Highly recommend for a short stay. Very clean Close to airport so we were very quick getting to hotel. Tips for hotel: They need to make the room less bright as the light gets into the pod a little. The touch screen also needs to be able to be turned off to make the pod less bright. They need to service all the smoke alarms, they sometimes beep intermittently. They should close the safe for arrivals as it hit my knee during the night but it was too late to sort as I didn’t want to wake my partner. If I booked again I would probably book 2 single pods rather than 1 double. Double pods mean people chat etc etc I could imagine the single pods are in a quieter room. Single and double pods are in separate rooms.

The place was easy to find. It is good for a short stay or transit. Overall it’s clean and nice. The only thing that I don’t like is the coldness of the room. I was freezing.

Great accommodation for budget solo traveller
I love the concept. A closed capsule bed with personal lights, mirror, powerpoint, usb plugs, safe, tv, clothes hook and hanger inside it. The place is pretty clean. Although not in the downtown, taking "Grab" service to downtown is very convenient and cheap. The downside might be the air-cond being too cold and sometimes noises from other guests. Request for capsules in the middle if possible as guests tend to walk along the corridor, which my single capsule is located. Food court downstairs only available at night. Great place to try out local dishes.

First experience with Cube Hotel
I thought the room would be small and lacks of entertainment but i was wrong. The room is comfortable and it also has TV inside the Cube. Overall it was a pleasant stay. Would really recommend it if you are backpacking.

One of the best capsule hotel I've stayed in Penang. The location is just minutes away from the bus station, so you could get around much easier. It is actually within walking distance to the Queensbay Mall (about 15 minutes). Each capsule was automatically locked with access card, as it is with your locker. Towels, toothbrush, headphones and universal extension were provided. The communal bath and toilets are separated by gender, and each showers include body soap for use, so just bring your own shampoo. Overall, the stay here is worth the money.

Very budget friendly. Go for it if you are solo traveling. Quite cozy in the cubicle but dont expect the same comfy as normal hotel, since it is a budget dorm.

Do make sure you have a car for maximum experience
Hotel was located 20 mins from most of the famous foods. This was not a problem from me since I'm driving. Now for the verdict of the hotel. The staffs are all very polite and very helpful, they reached and guide you on how to use the capsule and all the facilities there. They will hand over a bag of utilities which includes towel,toothbrush, headphones, laundry bag, 1 Android controller and 1 tv controller (for basic channel such as NTV7 and such. Everything must be given back except the laundry bag and toothbrush Room was surprisingly clean, as for some of the review that says they did not change sheets, I saw they changed it with my own eyes every time someone checkout so you have my word for it. It take a little bit of time to play with the Android tv to get used to it. Able to stream videos online such as YouTube or other private streaming site. The toilets are cleaned regularly. Some of the heaters are slightly faulty as it is not hot. But all you need to do is find the hot ones, since the toilets are most of the times empty. The hair dryer works, but do be patient with it as it blow warm air instead of hot. Here's something I would like to highlight and hope the management might give some thoughts about the feedback. Do provide earplugs, I don't think the disposable ones are expensive in any way. As a person that is easily startled, it is close to impossible to have an afternoon nap as I am able to hear a lot of noises coming from outside the capsule.

not so satisfied
too much problem, no water at the toilet when i went there to take shower, the room is not sound proof so we can hear everything from other rooms, nonprivacy and the staff talks very laud... we were also required to wait longer coz the rooms was not ready, lastly i notice that they dont change the mattress cover n blanket.

Well thought and aesthetically planned.
Everything is well thought of. The cleanliness was top grade. It was quite. A quick check-in and check-out. Access control gives you sense of security and privacy. Eating joints are just under the hotel.

value of room > price of room. fun experience!
We took the double cube. IMPORTANT : We paid only 18 SGD for a double qube, 1 night stay. Upon check in, we were given a tote bag with towels, toothbrushes, tooth paste, headphones Here I need to mention that I was on a road trip and tried out different hotels, and one of the pricier hotels did not even provide toothbrush! Check in was prompt, we were given 2 room cards. Hotel is away from town area but nearby there is convenient store and the coffee shop below sells a varietyof local food at night, super good! Things I like : 1) Pod(bed) : Futuriustic space pod design, pod can be locked, I am thrilled that I get to experience this with someone I love. 2) Location : Coffee shop downstairs hosts a variety of local food at night + walking distance from bus terminal! 3) Staff : Quick and hassle free check-in / check-out, friednly n' approachable 4) Amenities : pretty complete for a 1 night stop over (we didn't need gyms/swimming pools etc) so we were happy with the HUGE toilet with multiple cubicles for showering, happy with the toothbrushes tootpaste and towels provided 5) WIFI : we could surf the internet with the TV HOW COOL IS THAT?! and that's on top of thefree wi-fi provided in the hotel 6) Room : room itself is huge containing many double decked pods and the rule was to be quiet which i would say most tenants abide by.

So far so good,but lobby the sofa not too clean,need improve. Room the tv not friendly user,i suggest not working or can't view the network channel can deleted.

Cool hotel
It was a unique experience to stay in a sleeping cube with futuristic features. The amenities provided was sufficient and the hotel is close to bus terminal and Rapid city bus depot.The hotel staff are friendly and very helpful.Use Grab Car app or Uber for a comfortable cheaper transportation.
