Nestled up in the north-east Finland lies Kuhmo. The sleepy town is great jumping off point for many outdoor activities including dog-sledding, cross-country skiing, wildlife watching and even winter rapids floating (http://www.hecktictravels.com/rapids-floating). In the summer the town hosts the Chamber Music Festival which attracts about 40,000 visitors.

There's no doubt you've heard of (or maybe even tried) floating down a river in the summer, but what about in freezing February?

Kuhmo, Finland is the only place in the world that offers such an excursion where you can float down Class II rapids while bundled up in layers of fleece under a survival suit. It's adrenaline-pumping fun!

See our blog post for more details and a video! http://www.hecktictravels.com/rapids-floating
Heart Lakes!! Northern Finland and an epic view over the centennial, Hossa National Park. This was the last image I took just past midnight yesterday evening to finish off another awesome Traveldudes campaign in partnership with Wild Taiga Finland, Kuhmo - Suomussalmi and I wish I was in Finland :)
