Hotels near Kahl Kopp/Heide Station

"This hotel is in a quiet safe neighborhood. So if you’re looking for easy access to restaurants or other amenities, this isn’t the place for you. We like quiet and we traveled with a car so it worked for us. The property is clean and quaint with a cute garden out back and our room had enough beds for 3 adults, which was perfect for our family. On the downside, when we arrived at 6pm on a Tuesday, the front door was locked. Not a soul around even though the front desk hours said 5-9pm. There was a sign on the door (in German of course) stating to call the number to get a code to open the key lock box. This won’t be a problem for locals, however, being from out of the country, it took us some time to figure out how to call a German number and also translate the sign. This would have been a lot easier if we would have been informed ahead of time of these special instructions. We are now ready to check out in the morning and have yet to see any staff. That’s just weird to me. There appears to be a breakfast area, but no breakfast anywhere. The information on my Expedia accommodation details says breakfast is available. This place ended up working out for us for one night, but I won’t recommend it based on the difficulty of checking in and lack of communication/information. "

"It was nice but small. Bathroom was very small. The worst thing was that it a venue for events. There was an event all but 2 nights that I stayed. The music was super loud till very late at night! If it wasn’t for that I think it was just fine for 1 person 2 max "

"This is our third stay at the villa Stokkum. Our family lives in Hannah now and it is a very convenient walk for us back-and-forth to their home as we visit for 10 days. We love this property a few issues this time was that the first week was very warm temperatures what seem to be the air condition? Did not work Very well requested maintenance but still warm front desk was very nice to offer a summer blanket instead of the goose down winter blankets on the bed, which helped the only other issue was the safe in the room was not working, even after mentioning it to the front desk still no repair. We enjoyed many late evenings at the bar staff was extremely friendly and helpful. We did not dine at the hotel, but seem to look appetizing as we had to walk through the dining room to our elevator, which is kind of odd. Anyhow, we look forward to staying again. This is our go to Hotel when visiting family. "

"When we have arrived, the hotel was “closed” with no reception. Sign at the door asked us to check in in the nearby Shell petrol station. The station staff was helpful but with poor english therefore apart from obtaining the keys, we were really not given any other info (eg, to use side doors to get in to the hotel building - we had to figure this out thanks to another sign) so the initial experience was… unusual. However, the room was clean, served its purpose and the receptionist in the morning was super nice and helpful. We were offered limited breakfast options (I believe due to lack of staff) and overall were happy with our stay. Hotel is right next to the motorway so not a place to hang around, but great if you need a place to stay overnight before continuing on your journey."

"Hotel was perfect for a short stay for one in Hanau. Walkably close to the train station and city center. The only thing I didn’t like was that the room did not have A/C and the days were 90 degrees. I could have managed without A/C, as I am normally not an A/C person, but the windows did not have screens so I couldn’t leave them open overnight. IMHO if you dont have A/C, af least have screens."
