"I had a great stay at the empress. Staff was wonderful! I enjoyed the amenities and afternoon tea as well My only complaint rooms could use some upgrades. I had to change rooms because of this"
Red Lion Inn and Suites

"We liked having plates, cutlery and a toaster. I would suggest putting up a sign on the cupboard that clients are responsible for washing dishes. It was unclear to us especially since there was no dish soap. Parking is very congested but, it is free."

"This is a very conveniently located hotel within easy walking distance of Fisherman’s Wharf and the harbour. There is ample parking which is easy to access and reasonably priced. The hotel is well kept and staff are helpful and pleasant. Our room was clean, spacious and well-equipped and the bed was very comfortable. The room was dark and quiet at night making it easy to sleep. However, breakfast was disappointing which is why I have only given the hotel 4 stars; the tea was already made and so was very stewed, the pastries were cold and chewy, the scrambled egg was cold. Despite that, this is a good hotel overall and I would recommend it for a stay in Victoria."

"Highly recommend this outstanding hotel, was our favorite on our Vancouver Island trip! Stayed in the Master Suites, which were large, decorated nicely & beautiful. The views of the area were gorgeous from the property, as well as from our room. We ate in the restaurant 2 nights. The menu had great variety, food phenomenal. Staff friendly & helpful. Will definitely stay there again if we return to the area."

"Juliette was communicative about our stay and breakfast details. She was incredibly welcoming and went out of her way to make us feel comfortable and happy. The beds and pillows were excellent, as well as the shower. The office desk was perfect for working. Juliette's breakfasts were interesting, diverse and delicious. Thank you so much and we will be back :)"
