Nice place amazing views and good service. Lots of bugs but it was the season and it is Costa Rica , too much spray. But overall great place not my first time and sure it won’t be my last. The owner and staff are all very nice and friendly and accommodating. A 9 out of 10 definitely.

The premises are outdated . They were also in terrible condition. The bathroom had many stains and filth in all the corners . There had been a fire in the area . The place smelt of smoke . The floor was coated with ash . Definitely a place to stay away . Absolutely no one cared . Seems it’s for sale . So squeezing out every dollar .

The views where amazing. The property was located in a very high part of the mountain so it was a little windy. The room didn’t have ac but the breeze at nite was great to cool down the room.

Muy buena opción para descansar y salir de la ciudad. Nos gustó la vista panorámica, el clima y las instalaciones. La habitación estuvo bien, la cama super cómoda, sin embargo (sobre todo los baños), requieren de mayor mantenimiento. Sería bueno además una mesa de anoche a ambos lados de la cama (solo habia una). El restaurante si bien no era barato, me sorprendió por la calidad de la comida, las porciones fueron generosas y el personal muy amable. Por lo que si fue una buena experiencia en general.

The staff were excellent. Friendly and accommodating. The restaurant was disappointing. Kept changing their hours. Food was good. but overpriced for just being good. Breakfast was excellent value. Expedia advertised free breakfast. This was not the case!

Beautiful views. Great staff. Unfortunately, the rooms are run down. Walls need repainting, the towels need to be replaced. The chaise lounge is torn and tattered.

The hotel is located at the top of a mountain providing spectacular views. The room was very clean and had a roof-top sitting areas to watch the sunset. A nice pool and Chef Jacques for the onsite restaurant rounded out a perfect getaway spot. The hotel staff and wait staff in the restaurant were fabulous.

Wonderful Costa Rican small luxury resort! (But a luxury CR resort is different than an North American name.brand luxury resort) Excellent location in the Atenas area with spectacular views and rooms with 360 private rooftop decks! Excellent and friendly staff with full service bar and restaurant on site - having traveled all mover the world this is one of my favorite places!

Okay stay
The hotel has breath taking views. The bed was super comfy and everything was clean except the bathroom wall behind the door. The rooftop patio was missing a few pieces of board and some of them weren't sturdy. During check in, we were also made aware that the pool and restaurant were closing early due to an event the next day. This should have been advised on before booking.

The views are stunning, however the hotel lacks attention to cleanliness (dirty spots on bathroom walls) and maintenance (wholes on terrace floor and missing roof ), and options for breakfast are missing as they only have one dish available, . Staff was super friendly and the pool was great!

Peaceful place!
The place is peaceful and quiet. The breakfast could be improved. Also it is a little off the beaten path. Other than that this place is great! Magnificent views!

We arrived kind of late because we were unable to locate a SIM chip so had no GPS to guide us. Once we got there the staff were friendly, helpful and accommodating. The food in the restaurant was delicious! The room was clean and super comfortable. The view was spectacular!! We would definitely stay there again and highly recommend!

Lovely but not a 'resort'
Room types by size, view type etc. were not differentiated on Hotels.com. Upon reading the listing for the hotel and with the pictures provided one would assume that all rooms had a view from their balconies. When we arrived the put us in a room that, while well appointed, had a view of nothing... a wall. I went to the front desk and expressed my disappointment. They moved me to an 'upgraded' room "free of charge" which was fantastic and the view stunning. Just beware that this property, like many others, will try to give you their worst room when you book with Hotels.com. Once again, the room is beautiful, nice finishings, great bed and linens. It's nice to have the kitchenette with coffee maker and complimentary coffee. The restaurant/bar is fantastic for quality of food and service. I'm not sure that the word 'resort' accurately describes this property. Noise transfer between rooms, and in our case from the kitchen was a nuisance, and more characteristic of a 'lodge' rather than a 'resort'.

Beautiful views and very peaceful. Only dislike was that the bar closes at 8 P.M. I think its a bit too early. Also, the bartender was very rude and was ready to close at 7:20.. besides that this place is BEAUTIFUL!!
