The hotel is in the Arab quarter of Jerusalem, which means that shops and restaurants are open on Fridays and Saturdays. The reception staff are extremely friendly and very helpful. No complaints about the room or condition. Rooftop swimming pool would be great when the weather is warmer. Nearby there is the wonderful Armenia Ceramic Workshop, perfect for gifts. And to eat there is the American Colony and the Jerusalem Hotel, the staff at the latter are lovely. For decent coffee try Nordic Coffee, just up the road towards the American Colony or the Educational Bookshop in the other direction towards the Old City.
The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast food was really good and varied. The pool needs a little bit of tlc and the parking was not right next to the hotel.
This hotel was a good choice for my stay in Jerusalem. Just a few minutes walk to the old city. [The pool which is a feature of the advertising looks lovely with its vantage point but was not open for swimming due to no lifeguard on duty.]
Decent hotel for the price.
The staff are excellent - extremely helpful & pleasant.
However, the restaurant & bar were closed (because of Covid?) but this was not mentioned when booking or on the hotel's own website, which was disappointing.
Pool also closed.
Very well positioned for old city.
Great location and friendly staff! Nice, clean room. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is that our air conditioning wasn't working and it took a couple days to fix. Not too many food options on site but there were plenty of things in walking distance and the reception staff was always willing to give recommendations and directions!

Great staff and pool, rooms require modernisation
Staff very friendly and helpful.
The pool is very good and well looked after.
The rooms are spacious but very tired. The bathroom required complete modernisation, it was almost impossible to have a shower and it was virtually a drip coming out and hard to control the temperature.

Good Hotel can be better.
The Hotel is old and there were some issues like water pressure electricity failure and slow elevators. TV is old.
The Staff was reasonable but not so attentive. Calls for room service went unattended.
Breakfast was decent.
Location is good.
Expensive but really great. I'm told it's owned by Palestinians, which is one of the reasons I booked there. The rooftop is lovely at night, and wasn't crowded. Laundry services overpriced so I waited until switching to National, which was marginally cheaper. The people working the reception were so friendly and helpful and indulged my wanting to speak only in Arabic. Zero complaints.
TV never work for the week we were there with the staff was great but they never fix the TV

Disliked: Room comfort
low value. potential and reality don't meet
- The small rooftop pool indeed has great views but the water was dirty, which made it irrelevant.
- Breakfast was 20 euros a person - less than avetage at most + you had to pay extra for coffee (!).
- Instead of a view to Jerusalem, my terrace was facing a fence and a parking lot, like many other rooms in the hotel. And because it is located on a major public transportation road, several buses a minute made it exceedingly noisy. I would NOT book a room before they *physically* show you it's a one of the rooms facing the city (but i don't think you can do that online).
