When we arrived, a few curious monkeys were waiting in our garden to welcome us — a sign of the nature and charm that defines this place. The next morning, as I set out for an early walk, I was lucky enough to join a large family of about thirty monkeys on the first leg of my hike. They moved calmly and peacefully through the forest, completely at ease with my quiet presence. It was a magical and truly unique experience. Beyond the wildlife encounters, everything at Maya Ubud was exceptional. The meals were consistently delicious, the resort grounds were immaculate and lush, and the service was flawless — attentive without being intrusive. "Puri Sebali is truly paradise! The staff here are friendly and most accommodating. I arrived a day early and they went out their way to provide me a room at 1:00am. The rooms are clean and just beautiful! I have stayed in 3 of their rooms to include the villa and you will not be disappointed with either! I most definitely will return when I visit Bali again! "

Spent my 30th birthday here because I really wanted to wake up in the jungle and that’s exactly what this delivered. The grounds are absolutely stunning and everywhere you look is a jaw dropping view. You HAVE to visit the spa. It is the most beautiful spa in the world set inside the jungle. We ordered the flower pool as well for my 30th birthday and it was beautiful. Overall this might be my favorite hotel i have ever stayed in. The bugs and animals at night were a doozy but it comes with the territory of staying in this location. "
