"The room and the location was fabulous! The room was spacious, simple and clean. We were in walking distance to restaurants, bars, port and wine shops and shopping. We were a couple minutes from the bridge between Porto and vila nova de Gaia which we loved walking back n forth. We had endless places to explore. We would stay again in a heartbeat. Thank you for such a lovely room! "

"It was a very nice place within walking distance of all major sights in Porto and Gaia. Friendly staff and good communication with the place throughout the booking. They gave us options for parking which was very helpful. Breakfast was good. It was surprisingly quiet at night considering location. "

"The location couldn’t be better — only blocks away from the river and easy access to everywhere we wanted to go. Despite being in a high traffic area, the windows do an amazing job blocking most of the noise. The room was spacious and comfortable. But what really set this place apart was the hotel staff! "We loved our stay at the GA Palace Hotel. Everyone was so nice and helpful. Our room was wonderful. We loved the pool area (even though the floor is very slippery). Our breakfast was amazing. Would definitely go back if we get to Porto again."

"Dazzling views and an incredibly comfortable room. Lovely staff, amazing breakfast. Across the river from Porto with a beautiful view of the city. Dinner at the Gastronomic was remarkable and certainly earned their 2 Michelin stars! I wish they had a water bottle refill station in the lobby instead of needing to use single use bottles constantly. The bistro lunch menu has very limited options for vegetarians. "

"Had an excellent stay for 3 nights. The hotel shared lots of information before our arrival. On arrival check-in was quick and offered to guide us on our stay in Porto. Our room was spacious, slightly unique was having two showers. Equipped with everything we really needed. "The property makes creative use of its small space in the historic area. We enjoyed our balcony view of the city from our studio. Fresh and new inside with a Roman wall in the back. Staff is wonderful and genuinely helpful. Breakfast is good too. But do not plan to drive or park there. The road is very narrow. We left our car at a nearby parking garage. Wonderful location in the walkable historic district near the river."
