"A small, intimate and immaculate establishment - like your own little villa! Not only was the breakfast (hot and cold) awesome, but it was the extra little touches that made an impression. For example: Although there was no restaurant for lunch & dinner, picnic tables, a microwave, plates, utensils and condiments were provided for guests' "bring-their-own-meal" use, little cookies daily with the in-room tea/coffee facilities, an honesty bar area, with an ice-maker, I could go on! "What a lovely experience. Fairway Guesthouse was sublimely superb. As a location with an absolutely stunning view of the golf course overlooking the sea and Durban cityscapes, as well as the absolutely wonderful friendly service, that simply made us feel home away from home. The continental breakfasts were yummy and different - croissants with scrambled eggs and bacon and we even got home made flapjacks!!! Our suites were so luxurious and well appointed, with secure garden parking that our...
"Gem of a place, right in the heart of Umhlanga. Easily walkable to restaurants etc, and very safe, even at night. Super comfortable rooms, and lovely owners. Highly recommended!"
"What a lovely guesthouse.
Host and staff were excellent.
Our room was clean and spacious.
Great breakfast, easy access to all restaurants and shops.
We will return on our next visit to South Africa"
"Stay was good. Shower 🚿 head needs some attention. Leaking. Mattress needs to be changed slowly caving in in the centre. Sleeper couch mattress is horrendous. Sleeper couch was grubby. Needs a good clean. Overall the place was spotlessly clean. Came across 1 cockroach. Pool was good.
Cleaning staff and security are very pleasant. Front desk not sufficiently manned. "
"An absolutely charming place with charming hosts. Traveling as a single woman it was very safe and convenient. Coming and going is hassle-free.
The internet and televison reception are excellent. Water in the shower nice and hot and the bed big and comfortable.
Couldn't ask for more."

"We had an amazing trip
The beds are so comfortable and the service is excellent.
Really enjoyed the breakfast and there were separate vegetarian/halaal options which was awesome.
we were just disappointed to get a 2nd floor apartment which was too low for a sea view, there were no apartments available on higher floors"
