Complete scam! Booked, paid and got confirmation email. Upon arriving at accomodation nobody answered any of my calls to the contacts listed. No response from gate intercom or any staff. Waited hours outside and eventually had to book different accommodation. Extremely dissappointed! Can I please have a refund on this accomodation.
The property was closed and looked like it had gone out of business. We drove all the way only to discover that we had no place to stay. You should remove this property from your offering

A Grand Ol' Dame
My daughter and I got a fabulous deal at Auberge Hollandaise Guest House and were in awe of it's stately beauty and charm on our arrival. However I was a little disappointed by our room's slightly forlorn air - it had a beautiful view and was comfortable but rather tired and lacking in any personal touches. The bathmat was so threadbare it was see through, the towels well used, the bathroom dustbin rusted and broken and the bathroom ceiling discoloured with signs of mould. The duvet over was torn so it couldn't hold the duvet properly and the sheets were also a little threadbare. They were all however spotlessly clean and the room was beautifully serviced. Just felt a little disappointed but saying that we still enjoyed our stay.
The accommodation and stay was exactly what we needed it for. A couple who wanted a night away from kids with a room that had a lot more space than you avg pokey hotel room. The car was safe in on-site parking. The hotel concierge was friendly and brought up ice on request. The room was spacious and clean with lounge area and comfortable bed. There was a fridge which is exactly what we needed and lovely balcony. Although it would've been nice if there was a little more privacy on the balcony between adjacent rooms. Close to social amenities if that was something required.
Simple check in, clean rooms and luxurious finishes. Excellent staff.

Stay was very average. Expect a little more from a 5star rated venue. The little things were missing and hence the stay was average. Breakfast is a little overpriced for what you actually get.
Never never again. I was checked in while the reception was on a private call. No towels provided in the room. Reception does not answer. This is no where close to 5*
Overall, the place is very nice. However, they have a very loud air condition compressor that turns on and off every 30 seconds throughout the day and night. The staff apologized and said that management were planning to replace it, but it seems to be a low priority. This compressor is so loud it can be heard from nearly every room. The staff offered to try and switch my room but we could not find a room which was insulated. Hopefully it will get fixed, but I would strongly suggest asking them about the status before booking a stay.
That was the only negative and otherwise, the staff were incredibly kind and attentive and everything else about the hotel was exceptional.
Ryan, Brian & Sam were terrific hosts & couldn't have been more hospitable.
The hotel is in a lovely neighbourhood & a very good location.
Had a great time, couldn't fault anything.
We travelled as a family, booked 2 rooms. My room was perfect. Huge room with massive double shower and bath. Very clean and comfy. My parents room however was significantly smaller but paid same rate, they wernt too happy about that (maybe different room rates might be a good thing). Staff were friendly. Its a no kids under 12 accomodation and i somehow either missed the fine print or the booking site did not mention it, either way they were most understanding.
Stay was amazing and the stuff was always helpful, we did not taste the food but the area is 5 mins away from many restaurants, an unbelievable walking distance in the cool breeze
I have stayed at the Auberge on several occasions, this stay being until the 19.5, remains a great place, staff are fantastic and is what really make the premises, that said its looking a bit tired in places and needs some TLC, ie mould on ceilings etc, lacking certain 5* facilities.

It is a nice hote, however it does Not Feel like 5 Stars..
Beautiful mansion with 11 guest rooms. A stunning entrance and lounge area leading on to the pool area. Our room was very spacious, great freestanding bath tub and large walk in shower . very large comfortable bed. Our room was at the front of the property with a terrace to garden, a room with a pool view would've been better, not least because the large metal entrance gate made quite a noise when rolling back. If I was to not pick, I would've welcomed a hairdryer ....otherwise very good.
The first night we were put in a room adjacent to reception and roadside. The access gate was so noisy each time it was opened and closed it woke us up each time. This continued till 3:30AM. When you check in you are not provided with a remote for the gate, but have to rely on a security guard to open. That night he went AWOL and from midnight till about 1AM a guest continually hooted and rang front desk to get in, so no sleep possible. We asked to be moved the next day
I traveled to South Africa to run in the Comrades Maratgon. I really wanted a comfortable, quiet hotel that wasn't right in the center of things, but close enough that I could get around the city easily and quickly. This was the perfect spot, just a short taxi ride from the city center, and several nice restaurants within walking distance
