My daughter and I really enjoyed our time at The National. Staff were so friendly and knowledgeable about the history of the area. Room was quiet and comfortable, the hotel Itself is so cute. We will be back!

Historic building. The carpets need cleaning but staff was very friendly and helpful. They had a good included self serve breakfast. Room was small but fit the nature of the old building.

Historic touches to everything very special. Lovely place to visit inside and on the street of the hotel. Parking is in the public lot behind the hotel which was okay. At least it was free! The rooms are comfy but small. This seemed all the more authentic to me. Nice modern touches like flat screen tv in every room, perfect temperature, nice shower and bed. No coffee maker in rooms but nice hours for free continental breakfast with coffee on the main floor. All of the staff I met were very nice. I would come again.

This was during an weekend event and the hotel's restuarant was closed the entire time as well as most of the restaurants on the street since the street was blocked off. The event "closed" at 5 pm and we were basically left with apples and snack bars for dinner.

Our first time staying in Jackson. We love this town. The National Hotel was great. It was so convenient for visiting the antique stores and other shops. The staff was friendly and a continental breakfast was included. We will be back.

Great experience as if you were thrown back to the days of the gold rush. Highly recommend especially if you are in to nostalgia and antiquities. Price I felt was fair which is important to myself as a retiree. i dont understand why this place would receive any negative reviews.

Historic, but tired
Cool, historic hotel with some amazing details. I paid $100 per night for a twin bed room. If i had paid anymore than that, I would have been severely disappointed. For $100, it's adequate. It needs renovating, updating, refreshment. You can keep the history and charm while still bringing it into the 21st century. Did NOT appreciate the christian TV station playing in the breakfast area. Incredibly inappropriate for a business, especially a hotel. The receptionist on check in was rude, tired, and obnoxious.

Thank you for your review and we just want to let you know our renovations will be starting in about a month for we are going to be a Hilton Tapestry and we have to have some design plans approved. We apologize for the TV for we normally do not have anything like that on and the staff must have missed turning it off. You could have request it to be changed. Very Lovely property. Bathrooms very modern and updated. Staff went above and beyond expectations. Only negative was lengthy and steep entry steps to reach entry was hard on knees. Time limits in street parking and parking around back seemed a little dark and foreboding.

Another Excellent Stay!
Checked in a little early (30 minutes); no problem at all. Lobby Staff was friendly and professional. Housekeeping Staff was courteous and readily available for any requests. We had two Queen Rooms, across the hall from one another (per my request). Rooms were clean and well-kept. Continental Breakfast was also very good. I only hope that they re-open their Bar and Restaurant soon. Both were a plus-plus during our previous stays at The National.

Holly at the front desk was very friendly and knowledgeable. I loved the smell of the rooms and lobby; very rustic and seeing the old photos hanging in the hallways makes you see the history and how old this landmark is. Breakfast was great too with good choices

Beautiful hotel
Love this place will be our go to when we visit Jackson. The only thing would be the pillows are too soft. Suggest maybe a firm & soft pillows in rooms. Not a bad thing just a preference.

Gold Country Bargain
It’s a Gold Rush era hotel modernized. Rooms are smallish, but clean and the beds are comfortable. Nice shower with plenty of hot water. AC/heat work well. TVs are small wall mounts, with a decent selection of channels and movies. Wi-Fi works just fine.

Surprising good experience. Was fascinated by the history of the hotel. Is an old hotel, be ready for aged carpets etc. But, great value for money. Heated bathroom floors was cool. Very friendly staff !
