Ryokan di Iwate

"This property was incredible from the staff to the food! Very zen and relaxing, gorgeous surroundings ! Food was Michelin star quality."

"Everything was wonderful"

"My husband and I stayed here for our anniversary and had a wonderful time. We weren't sure about having the Japanese cuisine for both breakfast and dinner but it was such a great experience. We are very glad we chose to add the half-board to our stay. The sound of the stream at night was lovely and also really enjoyed the onsen. We were originally hoping to have an in room onsen, but ended up enjoying the public onsen. It was a new experience and we would definitely do this again. The food is...

"This was an amazing experience, staying in a renovated samurai home. I stayed in the larger suite and had a full view of the garden and a lanterned alcove just outside the bath. Everything is new and clean, and the owners clearly take pride in this historic home. Even the tatami seams are artful. The staff was so friendly. I only speak a little Japanese, but they were patient and kind while I thought of the right words, and check-in was lovely. They also held my bag while I went...
