"The private beach and the breakfast/terrace make this hotel 5*****. The hotel is badly in need of updating/renovating. Old stained carpets and stodgy furniture and curtains. They could definitely keep all the old world charm with a fresh look. However, the staff is incredible and keeps the hotel clean and comfortable despite it being outdated. We were very comfortable during our stay and were impressed by the service and friendliness of the staff. The private boat to the private beach club was phenomenal and because of this and the views from the terrace for breakfast and pre-dinner drinks would have me booking this stay again anytime I visit Ortigia. Thank you to all of the staff who made us feel welcome and well taken care of! We loved Ortigia and this hotel made it truly special with the amenities, waterfront location, and phenomenal service!"

"A wonderful luxury hotel albeit our rooms were a bit small compared to the others. (2 single occupancy rooms). Very clean well serviced. Like a trip back in time to the golden age of luxury. Would definitely return and highly recommend this hotel. Extremely excellent value for money."

"The antique building is,AMAZING, It was before a film set or a musseum, The hotel is in front of a very particular beach, you need to stop there for a bath or for some pics. The bedroom was super huge , clean, beautiful view, the towells super soft. Bed very confortable. Lot of natural light the terrace is a plus, Breakfast place and atenciรณn very good"

"The property is as advertised. Itโs in a quiet alley but near the Cathedral. The desk attendant was very helpful when my wife had to go to the hospital. Rooms are big and the kitchenette was a big plus!"

"Overall an excellent stay. Our suite (with a private pool) was modern, clean and comfortable - most critically with a soft bed (italian beds are usually so hard) and effective but quiet aircon (so you could have it on all night). At the pool there are comfy sunloungers and we always had brand new fluffy pool towels. The main pool was usually very busy - but not an issue for us as we camped out at the adults pool. Breakfast buffet was excellent. Lunch and drinks at Lime Bar were also always to a high standard. The evening buffet, and the a-la carte restaurants were a bit hit & miss - the pizza restaurant the best of the bunch. Staff very helpful, maybe just too few of them on occassion. Note that this hotel really is off the beaten track. Brucoli village is close - but there is nothing there to see or do. Don't bother going and certainly pay for the water taxi from the hotel. Overall - thoroughly recommend."
