"Beautiful place with very friendly staff"

"Peacocks is lovely. There is no B&B front desk; rather, one mentions “we’re staying with you” to the bustling tearoom staff, and someone appears immediately to give you a cheerful welcome to the establishment. Located above the absolutely booming Teahouse on the ground floor, the two upstairs B&B suites are accessed through a side entrance and some stairs. "A very central hotel ideally positioned to see the sights and opposite the cathedral with nicely appointed rooms, even a bath in the room. Breakfast was excellent with a good choice on offer. Restaurant was also fun with a good range of dishes in a reasonably quiet ambiance. We enjoyed our stay."
