With that being said, it is old and very quirky and definitely more on the lines of roughing it. If you can appreciate a cool piece of history and want to stay close to Death Valley it does the job…"

"The exterior was very dirty, and the building could use a paint job. The room was just ok and also was a little dirty. The tub had mold. The shampoo bottle was completely empty. The sweet lady keeping the breakfast supplied was very friendly, kept everything well stocked. I don't think we will be staying there again driving to and from Tahoe. "

"Yes the property is pet friendly, the restaurant food is pretty good. I do not advise taking an electric vehicle due to lack of charging stations two. "

"Solid place to spend the night en route for a affordable price. We really appreciated how pet-friendly it was with a very reasonable pet fee, no unreasonable rules or restrictions and a big clean pet area in the back. The property is conveniently located walking distance to a lot of restaurants and just a quick turn back onto the freeway. The room itself was much better than expected with a comfy bed and AC, which was very necessary in the heatwave. The only issue we ran into was the hot water for the shower was a little finicky, but since it was so warm it didn’t bother us that much. "

"There is no television and wifi is spotty, and only available at the restaurant and convenience store, so bring something to entertain yourself with in the evening. Staff are helpful and the restaurant is good"
