"Staff was helpful and hotel was fine. And it was clean. It's a bit of a run down bldg. And it is expensive because it is in Juneau but it is right downtown. We had a room on the back and it was quiet. We were there for a short night before an early morning flight. The staff reserved a taxi for us for 5:30 am. The taxi did not arrive and the morning staff for since that they'd had problems with this taxi company. We had no problem getting a Lyft. The nighttime staff person thought maybe a taxi reservation would be better since it was such an early morning ride. But that didn't pan out. There was also quite a bit of a security line at the airport. We waited half an hour to get through the TSA PreCheck line. But that's not the hotel's problem; they were fine."

Frontier Suites Hotel in Juneau

"This review is mostly for the benefit of the management of Frontier Suites. This is my preferred go-to accommodation in Juneau. The Queen Suite is a great deal and very comfortable with a separate bedroom, sitting room, and kitchen. Housekeeping leaves much to be desired. Wife and I stayed for two nights recently. One wash cloth. No pad or pen to make notes to housekeeping to request another cloth. Conveyed the request through the front desk, and to the housekeeping manager who wanted to know if we wanted service during our stay. They picked up the towels, left the old washcloth on the tub, and left us a bag of towels with no washcloths. Did not bother to unpack the towels and put them in the bathroom ... just left a bag of towels on the desk. Not great service. No tissues in the room anywhere. No coffee in the lobby, and just one coffee pack with the room. I asked the desk to have housekeeping give us more. Nothing left for us. To their credit, the front desk does have everything you might need. (The tiny bottle of shampoo left for two people would not last two nights). You just have to go down and get it. Get your housekeeping service focused on customer service, and you will get more stars from me."

Sitka Hotel and Restaurant

"This hotel is adequate but very dated. Our shower was out of shampoo, another room out of body wash. We had to keep requesting the staff refill the coffee in the lobby. We were only there for one night so our interaction with staff was very limited. Perhaps when they see people more they are more accommodating? I wouldn’t say don’t stay there, but I will say only expect the necessities."

Alaskan Hotel and Bar

"The hotel was charming and old. You feel like you traveled back in time. The hotel is on the strip and was very convenient but at night if your room is near the street the local drunks can be loud at night. We tried to use the washing machine onsite but there is no coin machine or soap so you have to fend your self of you want to use the onsite amenities. There is parking behind the building for customers which is very nice because there is very limited parking in town."

"Their staff is friendly and helpful. This properly has just been completely renovated so its super clean and very comfortable."

"The property is an old building with lots of history. My room was clean and Jeff was very helpfull. Coffee and/or tea were. Available at the front office area. A microwave was also available there. My room had direct access through a back door which was very convenient for taking out my dog and easy access to my car. The adjecent properties share the history of a former military fort."

Holland America Skagway Inn

10/10 Excellent

"I loved this hotel and it’s ambiance; would have loved to stay here longer and relaxed. Restaurant was great too. The hotel’s exterior appearance melded well with the architecture of surrounding buildings."
