"While the hotel is clean, this is not a 4 star hotel as advertised. I’ll list the issues below: - In the cooler months the AC is set to warm by default, and it is REALLY warm. Hotel staff advised the only way to cool the room would be to turn off the AC or open the window, to which…. - The window opens onto the indoor gym! Imagine waking up to someone running on the treadmill at 5am - The room did not have a coffee machine, this is unacceptable for a 4 star hotel. There was a kettle and two empty cups with no tea or coffee - In a city that rains often, you would expect the hotel to let guests borrow umbrellas, unfortunately this wasn’t available - I selected to pay at the property…but was charged on my card a week prior to my stay - Finally….my details were leaked! Expedia informed me that the hotel fell for a phishing scam and leaked my personal details Would I stay at the hotel again? Definitely no."

"We really enjoyed our stay at Axel Hotel in Bilboa. The location, staff, amenities and property were all excellent. We especially enjoyed the beautiful, extra large shower in our room. This was our first time staying at an Axel Hotel and will definitely look forward to staying with Axel again with our future travels. "

"The reception staff were so friendly, another member of staff parked our car in the underground car park for us. Breakfast was also excellent service perfect and all with a roof top view. I would definitely recommend staying here all was excellent."

"Great location! Very clean hotel with plenty of restaurants nearby. The staff is wonderful. The Guggenheim is within 3-5 minutes walking distance. "

"We enjoyed a three night stay at the Voco. The hotel itself is modern, clean and of a good standard. Staff were friendly and everything seemed fairly new and well maintained. We didn't make use of the breakfast facilities or bar so can't really comment but they looked quite inviting. The room was a good size for two with a spacious, comfortable bed. As a light sleeper I really appreciated how quiet it was. There was no noise from outside the hotel at all. The only down side was the neighbourhood which was really quite sketchy. The main route from the hotel to the old town runs through a district called San Francisco which is should be avoided at night. "
