"I’d like to start by saying the staff are great! This is the reason I’ve given any stars and its location to the beach (I didn’t go but it was close and great view).
Now for the actual room, do yourself a favour and book elsewhere. This place is a $99 Motel with a view and close proximity to the beach. It has no business charging anymore than that let alone the $190 I paid for my ocean view room!
The room was disgusting, blood on the bathroom door jam, hairs on the bathroom wall (not mine), peeling panels, ripped dirty curtains, the other curtain with gross smegma on it, no side lamps, carpet felt like it hadn’t been cleaned in years, walls looked like mould was growing on it. I made sure to check the bed sheets before lying in bed, luckily for me the sheets and towels were clean! Do better! When you’re taking people’s money, you need to do better!"
"We booked a one-bedroom unit as a couple with two small children. The one bed plus a cot would have suited us perfectly, but instead the living/kitchen area was taken up by a second large double bed (sofa bed). It occupied most of the space (around 70%), making it difficult to cook, dine, or properly use the living area. The bed also wasn’t easy to pack away, so we didn’t bother.
The unit itself was clean and the location was great, room cleaning was great, facilities and entertainment all great, but the layout wasn’t what we expected."
"The gentleman who checked us in was fabulous and super lovely. Unfortunately the room was dirty with hair in the bathroom on the floor, and the room wasn’t as depicted. The photos online had the bedroom being updated, whereas the room we received was in quite rundown. The bedroom also had glass panels to the living room, and no fan, so the light from the living area did filter into the bedroom."
"We enjoyed our stay but had to move room initially due to loud droning noise from plant/equipment in the carpark beneath. This was addressed helpfully by the staff next day.
It's a good hotel in a lovely rain forest setting about 500m from Hastings Street. Quite a big hill down/up but the buggy service really helped. The room was clean and met our expectations. Would stay here again."
