"Nice spot if you wanna just chill on the beach. The house is pretty old, and not the cleanest place we've ever stayed. I had allergies to the dirty couch inside. But it's spacious, and has a fully stocked kitchen and laundry, which is nice. The location is also fairly out of the way. You definitely need a car if you're staying here. Grocery store, restaurants, aquarium, etc. are all a 10 min. drive away. I have no regrets staying here, but if we came back, we would choose somewhere else,...

"I understand that being surrounded by nature means that some insects may come inside occasionally, but I panicked when I found a cockroach even though the windows had not been opened. Overall, the room was generally clean and well maintained, but there was still some dirt left in the bathroom. I was also disappointed that the bidet functions in both the first-floor and second-floor toilets were broken."

"The place was locked when I arrived so I went to the address on the instructions nearby after half an hour they came by and told me sorry our mistake go back to the other place. Hot water didn’t work when I got there, easy fix but would have been nice to have some instructions to know I had to turn on the heater. "The resort is a little secluded than what we expected, luckily we have car to access in. But the host is very nice! It's my fault that I didn't inform the host in time about our late check in, in addition my phone can't make through any local calls, hence we can only contact using the chat function in Hotels.com. I'm glad that the host is patient enough and trusted on us on our check-in procedure. Thank you so much and really sorry for the trouble caused."

Top Iheya Hotel Reviews

Okuma Private Beach & Resort

8/10 Good

"Secluded location north of the island for a quieter, laid back Okinawa. Having a car is needed as the restaurants on site are overpriced and not tasty (from our experience). Room was dated, but clean and large. Beach and pools were well maintained. Happy with our stay!"

Ada Garden Hotel Okinawa

8/10 Good

"It is an old Hotel needing some freshing up. However the beds were comfy and room size was good. Great to have a balcony as the stars were beautiful. Also nice to be able to observe the Okinawa Rail birds splashing in a pond in the early evening, truly an awesome surprise, right outside the side of the Hotel. The food was wonderful dinners were so good and breakfast was included. It is right in the forest and in a good location for exploring the park. We rented a car for Okinawa and certainly made good use of it there."

Royal View Hotel Churaumi - Closest to Churaumi

8/10 Good

"The hotel is very conveniently located next to the Aquarium. However other than the restaurant across the road or in the Aquarium, there is no other restaurants nearby, so you would have to drive down into Motobu for dinner. The hotel breakfast dining room was okay with a good variety of western and Asian foods."

Nagahama Beach Resort Kanon

10/10 Excellent

"This was a nice getaway from main tourist attractions while still being close to Motobu and the aquarium Highly suggest prepping with snacks and when leaving for dinner, plan ahead to arrive early as driving at night or in bad weather can be a little intimidating It was a family friendly property, that offers activities everyone can enjoy giving a slower paced vibe during your vacation"

Pension Yonahadake

8/10 Good

"This pension is a lovely, out of the way, very peaceful ,simple and close to nature kind of accomodation. It suited our needs perfectly to balance out our stressful and long days from competing in a sailing event at the 4.5 star Okuma resort down the road in Kunigami village with a great escape where we could switch off and chill. We even managed to get our E-sim wifi via Nomad to connect most of the time This was a godsend while sitting out 2 days of a typhoon and the wind plus heavy rains"
