"Although I only stayed in Calgary for one night, I think the accommodation experience is very bad! There is a strong smell of hotel disinfectant in the room, and the room is next to the elevator, which is very noisy at night! Maybe it’s because it‘s next to the elevator, so the room is very hot! And the temperature control panel in the room is useless! You can only turn on the air conditioner by the window, and this air conditioner is very noisy! Sleepmode had no effect, which caused me to wake up from the heat at night, and the sheets and quilts were soaked! Maybe this is also the reason why I have a nosebleed! Anyway, the experience is very bad!"

"Things were great for one night - I just didn't sleep well because of the pillows. I just find that frustrating when the bed is comfy etc. And the AC blows on you rather than up, so I was either quite warm when it wasn't running or freezing when it was. Otherwise, it was all good there! If you're a better sleeper than me you'll likely be fine. Lol"

"Do not recommend staying here at all. I accidentally broke a glass dish in the kitchenette of my room and when I asked if someone could be sent to clean it up for me Mark from the front desk told me it would be taken care of due to the safety issue. I went out for just under an hour and when I returned to the property Mark told me the glass had been removed and introduced me to Emma Xu from housekeeping who had taken care of it. They then asked me to write a Google review for their property and requested I take pictures of their name tags to remember their names. When I returned to my room, most of the glass had been cleaned but there was a significant amount of glass remaining around and under table/chair legs, in corners, and on the couch. I went downstairs and notified Mark that there was still glass on the floor and he once again told me it would be taken care of. I returned over an hour later and I did not notice a difference in the amount of glass on the floor. This was unacceptable, lazy, and dangerous of them. I left in the morning at the end of my stay. The rooms are obviously not well maintained as it took over 10 minutes to get hot water the first time I used the shower, there was a significant amount of limescale in the dishwasher, and the bidet gives a musty odor every time the toilet is used. The lighting throughout was also very poor. Not a good use of my money, I expected better from a Coast Hotels property that is located in the downtown area of a major city"

"I am writing this review to warn other travelers—particularly solo female travelers—about a traumatic and unsafe experience I had at this property. My stay was cut short due to a major security failure that left me feeling completely compromised. The issues began immediately when I was checked into the wrong room. I chose not to complain at the time, but the situation escalated into a nightmare at 4:00 AM when a group of strangers was given access to my room. They opened the door and entered while I was inside, which was terrifying. To make matters worse: • The room phone was broken: When I tried to contact the front desk to report the intruders, the phone did not work. I had to use my personal device to reach them. • Zero Proactive Communication: The staff informed me they would check the cameras and call me back. I never received that call. I had to follow up myself only to be told it was a "technical error." • No Management Follow-up: I was told a manager would contact me regarding this security breach and I have heard nothing. I felt so unsafe and shaken that I checked out immediately, unable to sleep or spend another minute in the building. A "technical error" is not an excuse for allowing strangers to enter an occupied room in the middle of the night. The lack of urgency and basic empathy from the staff since the incident is appalling."
