After 7 years in China probably the best hotel/resort experience I've had so far. The manager, Ms. Yan was awesome from the start, sending a message soon after my initial booking, meeting me upon and arrival, advising me on hiking, and making sure I was comfortable throughout my stay. And Ms Yang the Chef was excellent. She really takes pride in her food and cooks both Western and Chinese very well. Highly recommended, especially because of the staff and location in beautiful Moganshan National Park. I'll be back for sure!

Just the food is a bit expensive. Riding the train is a bit rough, but that is part and parcel to travelling in China. Otherwise, it is a great getaway.

Beautiful property but too many kids....

The hotel was great and in a pretty area. There were quite a few families staying at the property when we were there and their children were running around being quite loud. As far as I can tell, the management did not deter them in any way. I've lived in Shanghai for 7 years so I'm familiar with this type of behavior from families but wish the management had spoken to the kids or their parents.

I can not recommend this place highly enough. The service from all was excellent, rooms quiet, comfortable and well appointed and the surrounding area was lovely for going for peaceful walks. We will be back.

Fantastic experience in a unique resort

This is a very different kind of stay. You get a comfortable room with ensuite, but get to enjoy the whole house - living room, dining room, patios, courtyard. You will also get to interact with the rest of the guests if you want to, which makes for a very enjoyable experience. The kids will have company to keep each other entertained. Sunny, the owner is a wonderful and gracious host and makes you feel at home right away. He is ever willing to oblige and provides great information about what to do in Moganshan. Stay here if you want an experience of staying in an intimate setting.
