Extremely tired property... Strange room, not up to usual standard of a five star hotel...

Worst resort experience! Don’t ruin your hoLi day!
1. Property not up kept to Intercontinental brand standard.
2. Misleading marketing information that there is golf course - it is not operational
3. Very poor maintenance. We paid extra for a room with attached hot spring just to find a pathetic area with cracked and stained mosaic pool and rusted valve box. Lost appetite on seeing the condition.
4. Found gross disgusting big clumps of algae floating in the outdoor landscape pond adjacent to the hot spring pool.
Worst resort experience ever!
Some outdoor facilities are stopped. It may be no guests to use so closed. If this is the case, the hotel should replace these by other new facilities instead of still keep it in the location map. Pls consider.
Except for the outdoor facilities, staff, spa and taste of food of two restaurants are good and recommended.
poor service at hot spring area n check in area. people impolite in general. cigarette butt in shower area. asked to clean but noone took notice n never done.
This was my 3rd visit and this time I took a group of friends. We had a wonderful time. Our rooms were great, the buffet dinner and breakfast were very good and we enjoyed our time in the hot pools.We organised taxis to meet us in Shenzhen and the 2 hour drive was well worth it. We are already thinking about returning.

Short Break
This was our second stay and we enjoyed it as much as our first. It isn't the easiest of places to get to but once there it is worth it. Pools are great. Staff are excellent. Room and bed very comfortable. We are looking forward to our next stay.
