I've stayed at Intercontinental several times in the past including my honeymoon and have had a great experience. However, my experience at the Houston location wasn't as smooth. To start, the bell man was great, he was personable and was ready to help us. We had 4 big luggages and he was ready and willing to help with a smile. When trying to check in, the attendant wasnt as personable. Didnt even smile to welcome us. We got in early, so I asked if they had a room availbe to check in early. Unfortunately, it wasnt which is fine. But then a bout 45 mins later, as we were about to leave, they the attendant told us it was. We brought all our luggages including another family who was staying there as well. We opened the room and it wasn't ready. Had to bring all the luggages down again and was told we will have to wait. So, we just kept them in storage and left until the night time to check in as we wanted to explore. For feedback, if you are to over deliver, make sure you have it all set up appropriately. Smile and welcome your guests. Make them feel important. When checking out, they approved a late check out. They said I had to reprogram the key because it stops at the normal check out time. So i did, but when i went back, it didnt work. In short, it couldve been a better experience.
