We booked at the last minute due to a disaster with camping in rotten weather. Got a great deal with breakfast which was lovely. Would stay here again if we are in the area
Great for the price. Full English breakfast was nice.

This was a last minute booking for an overnight before our flight. You could tell it was once a grand old place but is now a bit unloved bit for what we paid it done the job. Staff were fine and free parking! It only took 10 mins to get to the airport so very convenient. No idea what the food was like as we did try any.
Very basic accommodation in a building that could use some investment but it’s clean, the staff are friendly and helpful and it was exactly what I needed it to be in terms of convenience for the airport. If you’re staying more than one night, you need to be ok with plane noise.
i wish i could give 10 stars for hospitality and customer service! the place is quaint, has an older feel, not a hilton, but felt like i was at home! quiet, cool with open windows, great bar! and great staff! if there is an issue they will resolve it!
Check in was a little long. Service from barman and restaurant staff was good. Fast fresh food, nicely cooked.
I did notice a tray with glasses and rubbish left in the corridor for over a day
Room was comfortable although no air conditioning very hot through the night.but they didnt have a remote for the tv and they new it was missing previously
Breakfast was nice still hot and fresh
Staff very nice and welcoming, hotel very clean, rooms fine, no issues. Would use again.

The hotel its self was very nice and grand but the beds were very uncomfortable to sleep in. The food was okay, but the service in the hotel was very good.

Basic but OK
Basic room at basic price. No beside cabinet even though plenty of room and no mirror in bedroom. Bed was comfortable.

Russ Hill Hotel is a convenient place to stay if travelling on an early morning flight from Gatwick. A nice bar with a good offering of food. The hotel is in need of a little modernising, however, it’s pleasant and the staff are very friendly and helpful.

Beds hard and pillows very firm so not a great sleep. Clean rooms and reception areas
The hotel itself was impressive as you walked in. Staff at reception were very nice. The room itself was very dated. The windows were not good, we thought they were still open when shut, they let so much noise in. The curtains were hanging off the rail so we were unable to close them properly. The shower curtain was mouldy and the bathroom smelt bad as a result of that. The mattress on the bed was so hard and uncomfortable. The hotel itself was so noisy even through the night, all in all we had a really bad sleepless night. Would not stay here again.

A very nice hotel. However, the dog area seems to be fenced off and located in a sort of garden area. You sleep in a sort of garden hut, where the outside light shines into the room all night, and the bed was extremely uncomfortable; every single spring poked into your body.
But it was very clean. An absolute plus, and quiet.
Nice restaurant
But too expensive for that.
