"LANGSHOTT STATEOF MIND Tudor Licious is all I can say , as whilst recumbent in my hotel room in Cannes after an early morning flight . Part of me had been. excited to leave britain the other wished I was waking slowly in the glorious four poster bed I had slept in .last night In hindsight somehow i knew it was a one of a kind hotel stay when the heavy studded door swing open onto a balcony overlooking a green algae duck.pond with two doves cooeing in contentment as the warm evening...

"The owners were very friendly and accommodating. Very close to Gatwick airport and people in the town were friendly as well. Great for an overnight stay"

"What we liked: the breakfast was great and I was impressed by the amenities in the fitness center. The shuttle and proximity to the airport were also a perk. What disappointed us: we specifically booked this hotel because we knew it would be hot and saw this had AC. Unfortunately it didn’t work in our first room and I had to complain 3 times before being moved. Additionally the new room cooled but very slowly."

"The room was very clean and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Perfect location for Gatwick Airport. The staff arranged for a hired car to drive us to the airport. We did not eat in the on-site restaurant, but it looked very nice."

"The central forced-air heating had been turned off throughout the hotel after a recent heat wave. When we checked in it was 13°C outside and the room heat would not turn on. The Duty manager was unable to turn it on after five phone call attempts, requiring 20 mins wait each, allthis lasted until past 2AM, and waked-up by this manager calling to see if it was working yet. It was not, it was blowing colder air in to our room. He tried to move us to another room and same issue there, after 30mins...

"TOP FLOOR ROOM WITH NO FIRE ESCAPE INFORMATION ON BACK OF DOOR is, surely, ILLEGAL. There was no information about anything in the room itself. TV signal was breaking up making it unwatchable most of the time, handset had no cover on the battery compartment, dangerous nail was sticking out of cabinet, shower curtain was dirty, glass shelf missing above washbasin, bed drapes had dirty marks, just needed to go through a washing machine. It's a pity because otherwise the room was spacious and...

"The room was very well appointed, but as it was next to the reception it was a little noisy. The staff were pleasant. Well worth the stop to catch a flight from Gatwick."

"Room was clean, comfortable and had all the basics needed. The ensuite shower room was clean and everything worked as it should. Reception staff were friendly and helpful. Location was excellent for easy access to Gatwick, only a five minute bus journey to the North Terminal. There is a good pub, less than ten minutes walk away and a petrol station/convenience store nearby. The price was also very good for a late booking. The only negative was some noise from the room next door as the walls are...

"Although the check out time was 12 and we put "Do not disturb"sign on the door, cleaners started cleaning our room while we went for a walk and removed our bag from the room. My husband was going to eat breakfast in the room after the walk but he was shocked as his bag was missing although he put the room service order through night before. There is no communication between the desk & cleaners and cleaners ignore the Do not disturb sign. "
