"Wingrove House is a welcoming small hotel in the heart of the historic village of Alfriston, just off the South Downs Way. It has been sympathetically restored to make it a comfortable, modern hotel. The staff are friendly and the rooms are spotless. There is a comfortable lounge and I enjoyed sitting there with a book in the evening. Breakfast was also delicious and the restaurante service was great."

"We stayed at the Deluxe Double for three nights. - Convenient location close to the ocean, dining, and buses - Modestly sized but clean, elegant room that matched the pictures - Kind and accommodating owners - Great breakfast with a number of options to choose - Free bottled water - Only minor knock is that some of the amenities are a bit old-fashioned (separate faucets for cold and hot water in the bathroom sink; toilet has a somewhat loud noise when flushing). "We had a great stay. The family room was excellent and our kids loved the heated outdoor pool which we used when in February! The staff were lovely and we appreciated the little touches like snacks to take on our walks and home baked cookies. We will definitely be back. "
