"We stayed 3 nights for a mini-vacation. This hotel was excellent from start to finish. Front desk staff was professional yet friendly and helpful. We were offered our VIP bottle of wine but chose water instead - nice alternative and was restocked frequently. Room upgrade unavailable because they were sold out. "A great location, only a short block from the Red 1 Line (downtown and uptown). Recently renovated, the rooms are slightly bigger than most central NY hotels. Staff were very friendly and helpful- umbrellas handed out on a rainy day. It has a bar (good cocktails), but no restaurant. Breakfast is a $10 per person voucher for the bakery and coffee shop in the hotel (although not owned by them).
