"Hotel was very nice. My only complaint would be the people above literally stomping when walking at night and early morning. Desk clerk did handle immediatly when I finally called at night."

"The room was clean and spacious, if sparsely furnished. The air conditioner worked well and was not overly loud. There are windows that open, but they face a public corridor, so not for overnight use. Parking was fairly convenient, even for a second story room. No elevator was not a plus. The motel is conveniently located near an excellent family restaurant , a Starbucks and a Vons grocery store. Not walkable to "Old Carlsbad", but a quick drive. Bring your own toiletries, as only soap if provided."

"Excellent location across from the Carlsbad beach with attentive staff. We felt comfortable there and there is a beautiful courtyard with pool and two hot tubs. Nice touch to have a recreation room available until 11 pm. We enjoyed our evening tea. The free parking and continental breakfast was great too. "

"The nearby highway was incredibly noisy, but inside the rooms it was remarkably quiet. The rooms were clean, but the floor showed a little wear. Breakfast service was a small bun sparsely laced with chocolate--though it appeared you could have as many as you wanted. That's it. You need to bring food with you or plan on eating out if you want a real meal. The two staff people we met were friendly and helpful. We had an issue with towels but it was quickly resolved. We felt safe. "

"I stay here once a year for my race event, the hotel itself is basic but clean, parking is included and the front desk staff is always nice and accomodating. Everything I need for a one night stay! "

"The location is incredible. Probably the best located hotel I have ever stayed at. Walk down to the sand is awesome, but I gotta say the room itself is pretty old and not the cleanest. A little too pricey for the room alone. "

"This was a very cute little resort right across the street from the beach. The pool and hot tub were perfect. There are so many restaurants within walking distance. Our son even lost one of his stuffies and they are mailing him back to us today!"

"Property is dated, would greatly benefit from extensive remodeling; but room was clean, and each member of the staff was courteous and friendly. Greatest jewel of this property is its proximity to Carlsbad's attractions."
