"Clean and functional room, although not luxurious. A terrific view from upper unit. Minimal amenities (no restaurant on site but a new one is in the plans for summer 2026). The property evokes “Old Hawaii” nostalgia and vibes. It’s the only hotel on the island."

Be aware that "partial view" of the ocean is pretty partial as buildings are between you and the beach, but you have a nice pie slice of ocean and a great view of sunsets over Molokai. "This hotel is older, but undervalued. We stayed between the Ohana (front) and Aloha (middle) towers on the north side. Pros: -Right on the beach, although you have to walk to the northern side to get to the beach because of erosion protection. There is a bathroom and water shower there. We saw monk seals & plenty of turtle right there. Rent gear there & you're good -Beach is shorter, but that limits people who come so relatively unpopulated -Has kitchenette with a dishwasher that's stocked...

The pictures on the website can be misleading as they show various types of rooms(ie ground level with patio verses 5th story room with no balcony)for the same category of room.
