"The reason why I rated Hampton Inn, sort of low is due to the pool was not operational. I specifically rented a room at this hotel because of the pool and it was my daughter‘s 18th birthday. I also found a small bug in my bed however I was so tired and a little tipsy. I did not call down to report it. Erin E Courtney "

"My room was so lovely, with a comfortable bed, a nice view of the city, very clean, and quiet. It's a great location for exploring the city - walkable to good restaurants (I loved La Bola), the GeVa Theater, Planetarium, and many good coffee shops (Albunn was fantastic). This hotel just has so much more character than a chain. Highly recommend! "

"The cleanliness of this hotel was very questionable. The smell in the hallway was very mildew & the room we had smelled like cigarettes our whole stay , even the towels smelled. The bed had a huge deep dent in it & the blow drier was sticky. Nothing was clean about this place "

"The hotel called and cancelled our reservation as we were pulling into the parking lot after check in time. They offered no help in finding an alternate reservation and when I asked to speak to the manager they hung up on me. Went inside the lobby, which smelled so strongly of weed it was almost unbearable. The staff behind the desk was visibily trying to avoid dealing with me, so I left. Only got a refund because Expedia’s customer service is good. The hotel never offered or initiated one "

"Our stay at S31 was great. The building is incredible and the rooms are modernized, but still have the original woodwork. The Village gate is close with great restaurants and boutique shops. The neighborhood is full of history and a great place to take a late night walk. Although there is not currently a dining area at the property, they have great snack options for enjoying in the room and great local wines. "The room was smaller than expected but fortunately we were only staying one night. The room didn’t seem to have enough insulation and it was a cold, windy night when we arrived. The heating system worked great but the bathroom remained cold even with the door left open. It was easy to complete the check-in process and receive our door code. The only suggestions I would make is for more areas in the bathroom for supplies, maybe a small shelf and more drinking cups, only 2 were provided."

"Kinda ghetto, loud slamming doors, major road noise from the main road all hours of the nights. Food near by is decent, extremely strong smell of cologne or what ever it is they use to mask smells or clean. Hot water was a little interesting. Took forever to heat up then got cold. Faucet in bathroom water was brown. Not sure what that was about but Hey for 50$ a night what do you expect. "

"I do their believe there was a difference in a third-party reservation vs going directly to the hotel and making a reservation as the two people that were at the counter with me they got the rooms right away. They were actually after me and I was told I had to wait till 3 o’clock. I got there at about 1:45. Sauce put in a room that the toilet or the water flows every 3 to 5 minutes all day all night however, other than that, the location is the reason for the hotel. The hotel is in prime...
